Antique Japanese Noh theatre mask of a young woman, or Onna. Hand-carved cypress wood with katabori chisel mark patina. Her face is hand-painted in dimensional flesh tones, with blackened teeth, red lips, and wisps of hair.

Beautiful antique red-toned bamboo brush holder from China with intricate carvings of various scenes including cherry blossom trees, a man leading a horse, two beautiful maidens shyly conversing with a young gentleman, an older man admiring the scenery through his window, and kanji reading "carved in the year of the tiger by San Miao". A fantastic and very rare massive ritual spearpoint in black obsidian, Pre-Columbian or early colonial Mexico, likely Aztec manifacture, 14th.-16th. century.

The spearpoint made of one full flaking block of obsidian, with central unknapped areas to use its full size.

Size: 48 cm. long and weighing c. 2,2 kilograms!

This Chinese Door of Hope doll, along with several others, was brought back to the US during the 1920's by the American Baptist Missionary, Rebecca Cloud-Stewart. On one of her many trips back to the US to visit family and friends, she brought the collection of dolls as samples to sell and raise money for the Door of Hope orphanage. After many years in China, Miss Stewart returned permenently to her home in Georgia...

A nice piece of Ming dynasty blue and white bowl of a pair of Foo lion dog chasing after the rattan ball with ribbons. In the center of the bowl, it has a symbol of a swastika in the form of clouds. It stand on a short foot rim with a recess base and then everted upwards. This is a nice piece not to be missed as such good quality bowl are hard to come by

It has only minor chips at the rim as shown in picture 5 (one chip) and 6 (two chips) which are not very noticeable...

A luxery set for 6 persons flatware cutlery and including also a larger knife and fork for cutting the meat, France 18th. century. (14 pieces total).

Highly elaborate with silver settings, incl. finials and fine floral inlays, high polished tortoise shafts and the knifes marked with a Lilly on the top of the blades.

An antique Japanese Tansu chest made of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. Original hand forged iron hardware with an age old replacement lock on the bottom drawer. Hirute style drawer handles. Constructed using straight dovetail joinery with hardened wooden nails. With two side Warabite carrying handles.

Used by a merchant to store valuable small items and money.

A very rare 18TH Century, QING DYNASTY IMPERIAL POWDER BLUE-ULTRAMARINE QING DYNASTY PORCELAIN BOWL with gold rim and a white interior. Excellent Condition, no chips, cracks, hairlines nor restorations! Provenance: form a Private German Antique Collection. Fine Tall Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Horse & Rider with Oxford TL Test

This fine and elegant pottery model of a horse and rider was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been "cold painted" in various coloured pigments. The horse stands alert with its head turned a little to its left. The riders sits upright with his arms outstretched.

This is quite large example with a height of 38.5 cm (15 inches)...

A fine large bronze buddha, Burma or Northern Thailand, ca. 16th. century.

He helds both of his hands in a gesture of exposition or teaching (vitarkamudra) that in India is confined to the right hand. Professionally mounted on round black wooden plint.

Height: 39,5 cm. incl. the low plint and ca. 35 cm. alone.

Condition: Choice! Fine dark brown patina.

The first section sits on top with four brass handle drawers, and sits on two separate pieces with a single hinged door and carved side panels. Chinese square hanging lamp made of Zitan and mixed hardwood. Hand carved with dragon heads and fitted with frosted glass. Early Republic Period. Total size: 15" high x 22" wide x 22" wide. Size of lamp box only: 7" high x 17 1/4" wide x 17 1/4" wide.

Another fine example from our personal collection of animal hooked rugs, this one featuring an elephant posed on grass with fruited tree branches descending from the top of the rug.

The rug has a felt border, easily detached if so desired. The condition is excellent, with good colors and some slight scattered wear to the border. The size is 40" by 30".
