This Avante garde porcelain platter is attributed to Martin Fritzsche. It is similar to works in the Broham Museum in Berlin. The platter is 17” long, 13 3/4” wide 2 3/4 inches high. It has a Seger mark under glaze, the model number 5894 incised in the porcelain and worn, unintelligible painted letters.

Pojagi is the general name for the wrapping cloth and "chogappo" is one kind of pojagi which is patchworked with asa (choma or hemp) fragments. Ancient mask of the traditional esoteric "Nuo" theater, representing the character of General Guanyu, wearing his helmet. Wood, with multiple superimposed polychrome pigments, meant to enhance the mask features, of which part is painted on paper glued to the mask. China, early 19th C. Height: 33 cm. This is one of the first tea bowls in Japan, which came together with the first tea from China. It is a Chinese Jian Tenmoku Tea Bowl of the oil-spot type. These bowls were produced in large quantities for the general public as well as for the imperial court between the 10th and and the 13th century in the Fujian province.
