A fine double series opaque twist (DSOT) wine glass with a conical bowl leading into a stem with a central gauze surrounded by two heavy spiral threads. The bowl has molded fluting in the lower three quarters.

Chinese hardwood altar table, made of solid elm wood with its original red lacquer finish. Carved with dramatic scrolling legs on elevated feet. Five panel carvings in front depict various scenes with auspicious elements, dragon carvings in archaic style, the underside with scalloped edges. The altar style edges curl upwards in a scrolling fashion, with reticulated carvings of dragons below either side.

An unusual and rare sancai-glazed miniature pottery figure of a dancing young man with a pointed black cap.

Period: Tang (618 - 907 AD)

Condition: It has an old break in the right arm which has been reattached and hardly noticeable. (the original arm).

A nicely made English wine glass featuring a conical bowl with "hammering" on the lower two thirds of the bowl. The stem is a double series opaque twist with a central lace twist and an outer pair of 6-ply spiral bands. Conical foot with rough snapped pontil. Good color, tooling marks, and striations.

The condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, restoration or other problems. Height is 7", with a bowl diameter of 2 3/8" and a foot diameter of 2 7/8".

A special Philippine wooden Santo of St. Rocco obtained in the Philippines in the 1980's. Painted wood carving of figure, home ecoration Estimated to be 19th Century. Nine (9) inches in length.

This antique traditional Chinese pocket size opium scale comes in its original wooden case. Dating to the Qing Dynasty, the case contains all the original implements needed to weight gold and other precious metals and/or opium: a brass pan, a weight, and an ivory balance beam marked with 2 different weight calibration gauges. The wood case measures roughly 7 inches long and the ivory beam is 6 inches long.

A pair of Chinese ritual altar vessels for the Sun Altar, Qing dynasty.

The ritual vessels, bian, are made from fine strips of woven bamboo, the inner surfaces completely covered in lacquer. The earliest illustration of this form is from a Song period reproduction of a Han dynasty publication.

A Chinese white porcelain snuff bottle, probably Dehua, known in the West as ‘Blanc de Chine’. The moulded body, each side decorated with a central roundel of flowers surrounded with a pair of bats and a Shou character. The stopper, missing its spoon, appears to be faded purple stained soapstone. The thin body is very translucent and inside there are traces of former contents.

This antique Mongolian belt evokes the image of Mongolian horseman galloping across the plains... The chain is heavily patinated from age and use. The deeply doomed central medallion retains the original stained dark finish and highlighted gold (unknown source) on the border and central decoration. Chinese Song Dynasty black glazed Pottery Jar, 13th to 14th century, 3 1/2" high, 5" wide-widest part in the middle, 2 7/8" diameter-top rim, with dark brownish black glaze. The unglazed bottom section is rounded and smooth and has incised small marks and drawings-see photos. there are few frits on the bottom.

This is natural indigo dyeing Shirusi-Hanten made at the beginning of the Meiji period. This gets texture and others by cotton and silk. As for this, cotton and silk are spun by hand. It is rare that Shirusi-Hanten is woven by cotton and silk. Most are only cotton. This has fading with several places of a few holes, but the state is good. This was sewed for a child again. Late 19th century Chinese jade seal carved out of a jade boulder. True nephrite jade with russet original skin of the boulder, pleasant natural matte finish to the stone. The bottom is carved with raised characters that can be translated as STUDIO OF GREAT ELEGANCE, traces of red seal paste in the grooves. Wonderful austere piece appropriate for scholar’s table.
