This is one of my favorites from the Heflin ceramic collection. It has been broken and glued back together and is missing parts. Dr. Allen Heflin found this piece in Xico, Mexico in 1960 according to his journal. He must have hung it on his wall since he glued a wire to the back. This is a clear representation of a man either emerging or being swallowed by Quetzalcoatl. It is 6" long by 5" wide. The imagery scrams pre-Columbian. It is attributed to the Aztec culture C1300AD.

A beautiful and unusually decorated porcelain teacup and saucer. This piece, made by one of the Staffordshire manufactories, features birds on the saucer and the cup interior, along with wonderfully painted morning glories, roses, and other flowers. This is a Ming dynasty funerary sancai glazed horse.

There are no repair, restoration or chip. As a funerary horse object, a certain degree of abrasion, wear, soil calcificatio and degradation can be expected.The decolouralisation, abrasion, degradation and calcification can be seen in the photographs.

The height of the funerary horse is 20.6cm, the length is 20.75cm and the width is 10cm.

This is a special piece of Meiji Era Cloisonne Art. The jar is covered with colorful butterflies flying against a very dark blue/black enamel background. The jar measures 4 1/4 tall by 3 5/8 inches wide. Condition is outstanding but not perfect due to a very tiny blemish. The blemish can be seen in the first image next to the flash reflection.

Suzuki Shonen (1848-1918) was a Japanese painter from the Meiji(1868-1912) to Taisho periods(1912-1926). Born as Suzuki Hyakunen's eldest son, he learned painting from his father from an early age. Shonen became a teacher at the Kyoto Prefectural Painting School in 1898. He was good at portrait painting and received awards at national industrial exhibitions, etc.

A fine Georgian wine glass with a multiple-spiral opaque twist (MSOT) stem below an ogee bowl. The stem has a flattened shoulder knop and a basal knop. Chawan tea bowl, or perhaps a soup bowl or a mukozuke. Fairly thin stoneware modeled in the shape of a drum with 8 nails (protrusions) along the upper edge that would hold the drum skin in place. Deep green glaze. Eight vertical lines engraved and filled in with gold.

A triangular shape is cut out of the foot by way of a potter’s mark. In the center of the bottom a round Raku seal impressed.
