The dish is shaped in the form of a folded paper letter. Unusually it is decorated with a stenciled design of what appears to be a formal pattern of lightning behind an arrangement of stylised flowers. The back is simply decorated with pine needles.

Two dishes of very similar shape are illustrated in the Catalogue of the Shibata Collection, items 2604 and 2635, dated to 1690 ~ 1730.

Antique Japanese pair of hanging lotus candle holders, each made of bronze and attached in two sections. The upper section is a large inverted lotus leaf with smaller leaves and lotus buds around it's base. From out of the large lotus leaf is a hook. The lower section attaches to the hook with a ring. A high quality porcelain deep sided saucer decorated with an untied bouquet of flowers slightly off center and two small blossoms on either side of the bouquet. The underside inside the foot is impressed with the Nymphenburg mark, the letter “K” and the fraction “1/7”. The saucer is 5 1/8 inches (13 cm) diameter.

Condition: No chips cracks hairlines or repairs. Some very light scratching on the inside of the saucer and a couple of very minor firing flaws.

This mid 19th century Chinese molded celedon medicine bottle is 2 ¾ inches tall, 2 inches wide and three-quarters of an inch thick. There are several old chips on the rim, bottom and handle.

Offered is this beautiful Bohemian Moser glass dish with tooled-rim. The dish is 6 inches (15 cm) wide. The dish is made on an aqua-to-clear glass blank. It has a polished pontil and is in very good condition. Though unsigned, it is guaranteed to have been made by Moser - according to Gary Baldwin, tooled rims of the type present on this dish, "to date, have only been found on Moser decorated glass" (reference: page 85 of his book, 'Moser Artistic Glass Edition Two').

This wine cup is decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with three yin yang symbols on the exterior and also one on the interior base. It is raised on a low unglazed footring showing the white paste. The base is glazed and has a hastily painted mark. The overall condition is very good, without chips or repairs. It was recovered from a shipwreck site in Southeast Asia. The glaze has taken on a matte finish from submersion in the ocean.

This is a fine, 18th century Japanese Netsuke depicting a monk laying on top of Hotei's Bag of Treasures. Wonderful expression with beautiful patina, what has torn golden from use on the bottom. Unsigned. Netsuke measures 1.88 inches (4.8cm) wide, 1.22 inches (3.1cm) deep, and, 0.92 inches (2.4cm) tall. It is in excellent condition.

19th century Japanese kozuka (sword knife) handle depicting a lobster and some fishing implements including a straw raincoat and a woven ring. Clever design of the terminus as a curled lobster, superb crisp work - see the fine differentiated textures of the crustacean’s body, ring and long strands of the coat. Signed on the back MITSUYOSHI (alternative reading is KOKO) followed by kakihan (carved monogram) of the artist Gilding, finely textured ground called nanako, which means “fish-eggs”...

French Rococo and Louis XV features inform the design of these candelabra which sit on a a footed sinuous base with ornate embellishments from which rise intertwining stems whose sinusoidal arms support separately 4 sockets and bobeches. The finish is gold patination of which there is modest loss. The base is constructed of 3 pieces. Other than the previously noted finish losses, the candelabra are in very good condition.
