A Rare George I Silver Meat Platter with a gadrooned edge. Hallmarked in London in 1727 (the last year of George I's reign) and made by John Montgomery (the mark is rubbed, but can be made out). Dimensions; 14" x 10.5" x 0.5" high; weight a heavy 31.1 Troy ounces. Some surface scratches from use and one very small dimple on the surface.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in the United States by Ott & Brewer in the late 19th century. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The set is made of thin, translucent porcelain. It is factory decorated with hand painted daisies. They are done in raised two colored gold. Some areas are accented with uneven brushed gilding. A lovely antique crystal plaque by Baccarat encasing a sulphide or "cameo incrustation" of the "Madonna and Child". This particular sulphide is one of the two known depictions of Mary and Jesus used by Baccarat during the classic period of paperweight production. It is a large version and shows Mary supported by a swirling cloud of angels. The back of the plaque is cut in a waffle pattern and the edges are finished in with curved gadroons...

A very fine 12-piece set of gilt silver and mother of pearl dessert, fruit or cheese knives presented in their original fitted box. The tapered mother of pearl handles are tipped with silver finials and ferules decorated in a Louis XVI-style ribbon and reed motif. Most similar sets have plated blades, but these are silver. The silver is gilt, a process that is decorative, but also serves to prevent corrosion from the salts in cheeses which were often served in France as a dessert course...

A lovely art glass cabinet vase with cameo decoration in the “Thistle” pattern by Daum. The glass has elegant mottled coloring with dark peach and amber. The rim and foot are enhanced with gilt edging. The bottom of the base is signed in gilt script and bears the cross of Lorraine. This example is finely carved and makes very nice use of the layers of color.

A Martin Hall Victorian English silver plated meat dome. This 12-1/4" x 9-3/8" meat dome or cover was made by Martin, Hall & Co. of Sheffield, England (1854-1934). This table serving piece features a bolted and pegged finial with a wing nut and it stands 8-3/4" high. It is stamped 1127 EPNS with the maker's mark, and it is in excellent condition with no monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than one small penpoint protruberant dent and a nearby shallow penpoint dent...

Antique (19th Century) Central or Western Anatolian prayer or altar kilim, in beautiful condition. 3'4" by 7'2". All natural dyes, complete sides and ends. Two well done old repairs lower left. From a design standpoint this kilim is arranged like an Obruk kilim (the pointed hooked mirhab topped with a tree of life design, and flanked in the spandrels by two more such designs). However the color palette and the feel are not typically Obruk. From a Charlotte, NC estate.
