A fine pair of sterling silver sugar tongs in the classic “Kings” pattern. The design is very nicely worked and the tongs are generously sized. The inside of the tongs are fully hallmarked for London, 1837. They also bear the William IV duty mark. This mark, used in conjunction with the 1837 date mark, was used for only 22 days before being changed to the Victoria duty mark. The maker’s mark is that of either William Barber or William Barrett II.

A lovely pair of hyacinth vases in teal blue glass. The classic shape is slightly conical with a widely flaring rim for resting the bulb over the water. These vases are especially attractive because of their rich color. Forcing hyacinths and other bulbs to bloom indoors was something of a Victorian passion that continued well into the 20th century.

Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks. Size: 7" tall.

Very nice Imperial Russian peacock blue pressed glass tea box. Glass tea caddies are difficult to find in this color. The design features fans, strawberry diamonds and Russian cane motifs. The box is bound with silverplated mountings and a lock. The box was almost certainly made by the “OtyM.F. Atelier”. Locked tea boxes were a holdover from earlier days when tea was a precious commodity that had to be kept safe from marauding servants.

Two lovely English trios with painted decoration of single roses. Wishbone or London handles, c 1820, probably New Hall. Numbers painted to base: 925 and 923. Height of cups "3/ 7,5 cm, diameter of saucers "5 ½/ 14 cm. Condition: a yellow tone to part of the handle of one cup (from fabrication), otherwise fine.

Victorian decorative sterling clip, c.1893. Measures 2 3/4" by 1 5/8" and the hinge is in excellent working order. it is marked "STERLING 3905 PAT.1893". There is also a maker's mark that has faded and is hard to read. Excellent condition......$10 for insured shipping.

An antique embroidered silk with cotton back bed hanging or valance from the Xuantong era in the late Qing period 1908 - 1912. This beautiful fringed antique valance has fine embroidery, including gold thread and multi-color silk thread depicting flowers, butterflies, fish, people and many other symbolic figures and images, with fine short and long stitch embroidery and extraordinarily fine seed stitching. It is mounted on a pinkish cotton backing and it has a fine 7" fringe and edge netting...

A Central Anatolian prayer kilim in beautiful colors. Woven in slit tapestry, warp and weft in wool. Condition: Colors slightly faded, minor wear and few small repairs. Collectors piece, the weave is very fine and delicate, should not be exposed to heavy traffic. Dimensions: 202 x 118 cm without fringes.

This type ware is often mistakenly referred to as Leeds and feather edge. In reality, many factories other than Leeds made pearlware items of this nature, and the type edge here is more properly called a molded edge. This particular plate is marked with an impressed flower on the back. It has an elaborate raised tree and floral decoration.

A Royal Crown Derby 6452 hand painted covered entree dish 1907. This fine quality English bone china covered oval entree dish is dated 1907and it was made by Royal Crown Derby in the 6452 pattern. This 11-1/4" x 7-3/4" serving dish has a cobalt band with matte gold painting including a grape vine motif and white enamel jewelling. It is marked on both pieces with the orange ROYAL CROWN DERBY ENGLAND 6452 mark, the M year letter (for 1907) and an underglaze stamped DERBY 6-07...

A wine glass with a large flared bell bowl with a solid base. The stem is of the multiple spiral air twist (MSAT) type, above a conical foot. 6 7/8 inches tall, bowl diameter 3 inches, foot diameter 2 7/8 inches. Perfect condition and the discrepancy between the bowl and foot diameters is due to the large flare of the bowl.

Between the shoulder knop and the bowl is a plain straight section of stem which might almost qualify this glass a composite stem type. Showing the whimsy that exemplifies good American folk art, this watercolor double portrait depicts a young man and woman who are clearly siblings. The artist achieved a starkness by having them in black clothing and not accentuating the details of their garb. In fact, the basic touches of color are only the blue in the girl's eyes and in the sky against which they are posed.
