Parian group of a baby being roused by a puppy. Modelled c 1890 by Rowland James Morris (1842 – 1898), engraver and sculptor. R J Morris was born in Staffordshire and is known to have worked as a modeller to more than one porcelain manufacturer. He became especially well known for the Dainty White service and for Parian groups with children and dogs, one of them the immensely popular “Can’t you talk?” His models were all sold to Shelley & Wileman in 1896...

A 19th century Japanese Kutani bottle vase. This well painted hand decorated 6-1/8" vase features gold decoration, floral and figural panels and decoration in black and orange. It has what appears to be an artist's signature on the bottom and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs other than some linear craze lines and areas of fine crazing...

A well decorated, monogrammed and marked hard paste porcelain plate. The outside border is decorated with a narrow peach ground and elaborate gilding with green dots and red lines. It includes a monogram dominated by the letter "R." The center of the plate is decorated with hand trumpet honeysuckle.

The maroon printed mark, "Ch.PILLIVUYT & Cie/PARIS/EXP 1867/MEDAILLE D'OR" is printed inside a dotted oval under the base. Charles Pillivuyt was a well established porcelain manufacturer...

Pretty French faience plate exuberantly decorated with vases of carnations, sprays of bluebells and colorful insects. The plate has a deep rim and the edges are finished in a nice curved pattern. The back of the plate is marked "Jardin" in underglaze blue.

Origin: France, early 19th century. Condition: no body cracks or chips; glaze wear along rim; normal glaze crackling. Size: 10-1/4" diameter.

Superbly enamelled coffee can with a water landscape and fisherman next to a ruined castle. C 1800, probably Belgian (Vieux Bruxelles). Height: 2 ½”/6,5 cm. Saucer, contemporary but not belonging, provided without extra cost (see last photo). Condition: handle professionally mended.

Large blue and white teacup of ogee shape and saucer bowl, in the Fitzhugh pattern. Chinese export porcelain from the early years of the 19th century, c 1810-20. Diameter of saucer "6 ¼ / 16 cm and of cup "4 ½ / 11 cm. Condition: the cup with two short hairlines and a nick to the mouth rim.

An English blue and white tea bowl and saucer, transfer printed with Chinoiserie scenes in four compartments, a variation of the Willow pattern, c 1800. Height of cup: 2" / 5 cm, diam. of saucer: 5 1/4" / 13 cm. Condition: fine.

A Footed English Staffordshire Double-handled Compote dish with a Ribbon and Garland pattern; by Watford, 1860. Dimensions 11.5" long x 8.5" wide. Excellent condition.

A Limoges Soup Tureen by Charles Field Haviland, Decorated in Green and Gold. CFH/GDM Mark 2,3 for Charles Field Haviland and Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Morel. Period 1891-1900. Dimensions; 9.5" in diameter x 7" high to lid. Excellent condition.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1912. There are date ciphers that indicate this date. The set is made of high quality bone china. It is decorated in a Japanese Imari pattern. The decoration is hand painted and ornately gilded. The decoration on the cup and saucer is bold and vivid. There is some slight wear in the well of the saucer. This cup and saucer is in otherwise excellent condition.

A Grainger/Worcester small bulbous vase, hand painted with cowslip flowers and sprigs on a light green ground. Imprinted marks for Grainger / Worcester, pattern number G 161 and year mark D for 1893. Height "2 ¾/ 7 cm, width "3¼/ 8 cm. Condition: fine.

English Bone China maybe Coalport Serving Dish, Ca. 19th C., 1 1/2" high, 9" x 8" wide with raised Grape design handle, bright large floral decoration inside the dish, marked number "518" in dark olive color on the bottom. Some old chips on the bottom rim caused by many years of usage

Hard paste fluted handless cup and saucer decorated with a brownish purple edge, flowers and a green and black band with elaborate breaks and red bindings. In the center of the saucer three larger flowers and a single flower at the bottom of the cup. Unmarked though probably Champions, circa 1775. Cup 1 ¾ inches tall, 2 ¾ inches diameter. Saucer 4 5/8 inches diameter.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Very little wear.

Marked Zoshuntei (= shop), Sanpo Zo (made), for the factory of Hisatomi Yojibei Masatsune (1842 – 1870). Hisatomi was one of the first potters in Japan to be allowed to put his factory name on pieces intended for export from Arita. A Turquoise Staffordshire Water or Milk Pitcher with Acanthus Scrolled Loop Handle and Oriental Design. Dimensions; 9" high x 5.5" wide, to handle. Circa 1880-1890 and in excellent condition

Set of nine(9) German "Waechtersbach" marked earthenware creamy color reticulated border plates with large floral design in the center, ca. 1900-1907, 7/8" high, 8 7/8" diameter. Marked "Waechtersbach Germany" "Dec:2204" in blue, plus impressed marks on the bottom. There are few glaze crazing on the surface, no damages or restorations.

Pearlware cup and saucer decorated with a silver resist (platinum) border of vines within thin red lines. As a cheaper alternative to luxury silver services and to avoid tarnishing, platinum on porcelain was used in the early 19th century. Silver resist or silver lustre wares were produced mainly in Staffordshire, before silver-plated metals took over the market. This cup and saucer was made around 1820 and is unmarked.
