A Large Ironstone Oval Well and Tree Platter by John Ridgway, Scalloped Edge. Hand Painted Polychrome Floral Decoration. Dimensions; 19" long x 16" wide x 2.5" high; weight 7.5 lbs. Stamped on back "Imperial Stone China" over a coat of arms with "IR" (for John Ridgway) in the ribbon. Circa 1830-1841. Some slight wear on the legs, but overall in excellent condition.

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg around 1815. Both pieces have the impressed Nymphenburg shield in the porcelain. The cup measures 3 1/2 inches high and the saucer has a diameter of 5 1/8 inches. The front of the cup features a detailed hand painted view of a location in Germany. A castle can be seen in the background. The scene is unnamed. These topographical porcelains document the place in time as it was in 1815...

A wonderful example of a creamware dish made by Sewell and Donkin of Newcastle (St. Anthony's until 1819). The painted central scene shows a dying patient receiving his unction above the motto "T Oliesel" (Last Rites), and is surrounded with a colorful floral border. The reverse of the dish has the partial impressed manufacturer's name.
The condition of this 10" diameter piece is excellent, with good color, no cracks, chips, or restoration...

Two pairs of tea cups with sprigged ornamental decoration in lilac and twigs of flowers in gilt. English, around 1830 and attributed to New Hall. Unmarked except for the pattern number, 7940. Diameter of saucers "6¾/ 17,5 cm and of cups "4½/ 11,5 cm. Condition: one pair fine, the other (please see the last photo) with some wear, a star crack and a hairline. This type ware is often mistakenly referred to as Leeds and feather edge. In reality, many factories other than Leeds made pearlware items of this nature, and the type edge here is more properly called a molded edge. This particular plate is marked with an impressed flower on the back. It has an elaborate raised tree and floral decoration.

Teacups – six plus one - and saucers from Staffordshire with moulded borders, made of porcelain around 1825 and possibly by H & R Daniels. The pattern is numbered 766 and consists of little blue flowers or leaves growing from meandering sprouts in green, with minimal red shoots from them. Measures: height of cups "2/ 5.7 cm, diameter "4/ 10.5 cm and of saucers"6/ 15 cm. The seventh cup with a slightly different handle and no border moulding. Condition of all pieces: fine.

A very fine and rare Bow porcelain chocolate cup with the "Golfer and Caddy" pattern. The cup of tall "U" Shape with a strap handle. The interior with a wavy border, the handle with a flowering plant, and the base with a "2" workman's mark.
The overall condition is excellent, with only an invisibly done museum quality repair to a small interior rim flake. This wonderful example looks much better in person than the photos show. Cup height is 2 7/8" with a 2 3/4" diameter.

A cup and deep saucer in the bamboo pattern with an early printed Spode mark on the cup. The transfer design was applied over glaze by the “pluck and dust” method of transferring color followed by hand painting of the gilding. The color is referred to in the Spode literature as, “chestnut brown,” though this one has a reddish tint. Saucer 5 ½ inches diameter, cup 2 inches tall.
Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Very minor gilding wear.
