Black basalt milk jug with an elegant leaf handle. Engine turned in a bamboo-like pattern. England, Wedgwood style, c 1800-1820. Height "4 ½ / 11.5 cm. Condition: hairline near the base of the handle (cf. pic).

An oval English porcelain sugar bowl with the lid and body decorated with blue and magenta bell flowers growing out of gilt plants. The flowers circle both the lid and the body, which has molded ring handles (not working) at the end of the long sides. The knop on the lid is elaborately gilt. Unmarked, but certainly English and from the first quarter of the 19th century. 6 inches tall by 6 inches long by 5 inches wide.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs...

A silver form porcelain teapot with the vented knop on the lid and the pattern number, “N 195” in red enamel on the base. This pattern is known as the “knitting wool” pattern. 5 ¾ (14.6 cm) inches tall, 9 3/8 inches (23.8 cm) across the handle and spout.

Condition: excellent. A tiny rough spot on the lip of the spout might be a tiny glaze chip or it could be a very small firing loss.

I think this form is one of the most pleasing for late 18th century teapots.

A finely hand painted pair of miniature German porcelain decorative items by Carl Thieme. This pair has the blue Saxonian Porcelain Factory Dresden mark used from 1901; this group includes the 2-1/2" handled urn (red D mark) and the matching 7 x 2-3/8" tray (blue mark with painted DES.829 DEPOSE). Each features lush goldwork with colourful floral and green wreath decoration, and each is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs...

This pair of porcelain plates was produced in France by Delinieres & Co. Limoges in the 1890s. They measure 9 inches in diameter. The rims are scalloped. The central reserve has hand painted ladies dressed in fashionable Victorian attire. They are framed in ornate raised gold cartouches. There is an artist’s signature, G. Saguel on each plate. The border is a deep cobalt blue with fine lacy gilding over it. The borders on the first two photos look black but they are cobalt blue...

These 10 porcelain plates were produced in Lorraine, France by Niderviller between 1780 and 1800 under the patronage of Count Custine. They measure 9 1/2 inches in diameter. They have 6 lobes around the rim. They are made of hard paste translucent porcelain. They are decorated in the style that Sevres used. The decoration is beautifully hand painted with clusters of realistic flowers in vibrant colors. There are sprigs and buds scattered around each piece. The rims are trimmed with gold...

A beautiful English creamware plate decorated with violet swags with green trim along the rim of the plate and the edges of the swags. Aside from being of unusual structure, the violet color is rare, and the presence of a second color extremely rare.

This type ware is often mistakenly referred to as Leeds and featheredge. In reality, many factories other than Leeds made items of this nature, and the type edge here is more properly called a molded edge...

Hand painted in dark underglaze blue with a serrated rim this large bowl is soft paste porcelain. The decoration of a Chinese arrangement of flowers and twining plants is typical of Tournai. Height 4.5 inches (11 cm) and 11 inches (28 cm) diameter. Late 18th century.

Condition: no chips, cracks or repairs. Some scratches to the interior of the bowl and small flaw in the body of the bowl.

This style of decoration was popular at the time and still looks excellent today.

A beautiful and rare, small PUCE CAMAIEU & GOLD Porcelain Teapot with Floral Bouquets, ca. 1780, Thueringen, Germany (Gotthelf Greiner). The top is adorned with a stylized Rose for holding. Height: 10.5 cm Underglaze Crossed Swords Marking. Good overall condition.

This porcelain bowl was produced in Germany by the Richard Klemm Dresden studio around 1900. The bowl measures 9 1/4” in diameter and 2” deep. The bowl has a frilly molded border that has a scalloped edge. Three large sprays of hand painted flowers accompanied by little buds and sprigs decorate the inside of the bowl. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Worcester between 1755 and 1770. It is a First Period product under the ownership of Dr. Wall. It has an open crescent marking. The saucer measures 5 3/8 inches and is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 inches high and the diameter of the opening is 3 inches. The porcelain of both pieces is fluted and has scalloped edges. A very rare caneware basketweave tureen with a lid featuring 3 little biddies hatching from their eggs by William Schiller and Sons.
