An exceptionally wonderful example of this well-known and highly collected historical Staffordshire scene, with the added bonus of being in the very rare form of a shaped tray. This piece is 10" in length and 5 3/4" in width,with the impressed Clews mark on the reverse. The condition is superb, with deep rich color, high clarity, sparkling glaze, and no chips, cracks, scratches, or restoration. It is as fine an example as one could hope for.

This porcelain slipper was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. It measures approximately 6 1/4 inches long and 2 inches wide. The porcelain is modeled in the shape of a slipper with a fold in the heel. The decoration is hand painted in cobalt blue and gold. It has an elaborate design of stylized birds and flowers that are reminiscent of Persian style. There is gold trim around the rim of the slipper. Condition is excellent.

Mid 19th C Staffordshire figurine of a tailor riding a goat with 2 kids in a basket. Inspired by Meissen' s Tailor of Count Bruhl figurine, the goat is carrying an iron in her mouth while the tailor is holding a small roll of material in his hand. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. It has first quality under glaze crossed swords markings. The saucer measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter. The cup is 2 1/4 inches tall without the handle. The cup has an empire style handle that is swan shaped. The ground color is lemon yellow. This porcelain match holder was produced in Germany before 1920. There is no maker's mark on the bottom, only impressed numbers. We think it may have been produced by Schaffer & Vater. Heubach also produced similar types of jasperware. The match holder is pierced to be mounted on the wall. The decoration is white slip over light green ground in a Wedgwood style decoration. A hand painted Ashworth Imari ironstone dinner plate from 1899. This wonderfully decorative Victorian 10-1/2" dinner plate is in the Imari palette with a cobalt and gold border and a central floral panel with Oriental cameos around the edge. We haven't found a name for this pattern however B2050 is the same except with a black ground...

A rare early 18th century French porcelain figure after an early Japanese piece, Edo period. The 5" model of a seated boy holding a peach is beautifully enameled in the Imari palette. A fine addition to a historical porcelain collection.

There is some damage; the tip of the boy's tongue is missing, as is the tip of the little finger of his right hand. The left hand has been broken and repaired, three finger tips are missing. This may be seen in the sixth photograph.

An Early Nineteenth Century Hungarian Faience Jug, Possibly used for Wine. Pictures a Shepherd with a Dog and a Ram and Sheep. The Inscription "GAMBRIS ISTVAN 1810" is on either side of the shepherd's Head. Height; 12", weight 2.25 lbs. Minor glaze losses.

A large elaborate and beautiful patch mark Derby porcelain figure group of "Music" from the Muses series. Some sources refer to a very similar group as "Poetry". However, this particular group is somewhat different and is a rare variant.

The group shows a woman, holding a lyre, standing in front of a reeded column on top of which is a book and a sheet of music. Atop the base is a standing putto holding a music pipe in one hand and some type of instrument in the other...

A very nicely painted Pratt Ware cottage decorated with a blue tiled roof, children at the windows with an oversize female standing beside it. A well decorated, monogrammed and marked hard paste porcelain plate. The outside border is decorated with a narrow peach ground and elaborate gilding with green dots and red lines. It includes a monogram dominated by the letter "R." The center of the plate is decorated with a hand painted bunch of pansies.
