A deep cobalt blue salt or sweetmeat, probably of German origin. The bowl has a silvered everted rim with silver leaf decoration and is above an inverted baluster stem. Rough pontil. No condition problems, and with a maximum diameter of 4" and a height of 3 1/2".

This glass bowl and under plate was produced in Bohemia, now the Czech Republic, by the Moser Glass Studio in the 1880s. The under plate measures 7 inches in diameter. The bowl is 4 1/2 inches in diameter and 2 3/4 inches high. It is made of hand blown ruby colored glass with leaded content. The shape and design has an Islamic feel. Vines of clematis are painted with raised enamel you can feel. Borders of white with tiny blue enamel beads accent the borders...

A lovely bright olive green vase with molded ribbed blocking and cold-gilt gold and platinum decoration depicting thistles. The gilding is of very fine quality and has almost an Aesthetic Movement appearance. The vase uses a cased construction of various layers of clear and colored glass typical of Moser. The bottom is finished with a concave polished pontil and is marked with the form/decoration code “Q/195”.

Offered is this beautiful, iridescent glass vase, made by Loetz around 1902 - the vase is in their 'Medici' (Phanomen Genre 2/484) decor. Beautiful colors - the base-glass is in their 'Bronce' (bronze) coloration. The vase has four dimples just below the top-rim. It is 4 1/2 inches (11,5 cm) tall and 3 1/8 inches (8 cm) wide at the shoulders. A rare and beautiful double series opaque twist wine glass. The bowl, of uncommon tulip form, sits atop a stem containing two heavy spiral threads around a central gauze. What makes this glass rare, aside from the bowl shape, is that, opposed to being conical, as is usually the case, the foot is domed, a feature very rarely found on opaque twist glasses.

A wine glass rinser, rare because of the deep and beautiful red color. Wine rinsers or wine washers were used to cool or rinse wine glasses between courses of meals. Red was, by far, the least common color of glass in this period because of the expense in making since gold had to be added to the molten metal to achieve the color. This is a wonderful example in excellent condition. The height is 3 3/4 inches and the diameter is 4 5/16 inches. Polished pontil.
