This wallpaper box in the shape of a man's stove pipe hat has a wonderful blue and mustard wallpaper with yellow brim trim. The hat box is all about looks! And the looks are from eye level up meaning that the top and the bottom of the hat box are long missing. I have used it with a print works cat sitting in it...see picture. (Sorry you have to find your own cat!) But if set on a shelf or on top of a cupboard you don't know anything is missing. As I said it has a great look...

English Papier Mache Wine Bottle Coaster, Ca. 1820, Regency period, 5 1/4" diameter, 1 7/8" high, with lacquer decorated of Red Oak Leaves and Black Acorns continued outside in the solid Gold background, Red leaves outlined in Black, inside shows some black lacquer crazing but not too bad, bottom still retains old Denim. The Lacquer painted surface shows some wears.

A fine old charmingly naive watercolor drawing of a boy dressed almost as a girl, in the style of the times, titled in pencil at bottom "William John Babb March 1834". This work appears to be in its original weathered old frame, the original surface beautifully alligatored. Measuring 7 1.2" by 5 1/2" (10" by 8" including frame), the drawing is perfect for the small wall. Colors are perhaps a little faded after nearly 200 years...

An uncommon tinsel, or foil, painting on glass. Extremely vibrant, with deep colors, the painting shows a bluebird surrounded by a variety of fruit, with a compote of fruit behind it. It is rare to have a foil scene without a lot of open space between subjects.

The painting is in excellent condition, as is the later frame, which measures 16 1/4" by 13 1/4".

A 19th century Chinese 2-1/8" diameter carved jade belt buckle. Nicely carved, the jade is a pleasant pale light green with white mottling. German Renaissance 800 silver wine bottle coaster, ca 1890. Round and deep well. Central rondel (vacant) in engine-turned frame radiating leaf and scroll ornament on lined ground. Wide and flat rim with embossed curvilinear scrollwork and ovals (vacant) between beaded borders. Fully marked including maker’s (Koch & Bergfeld) and retailer’s (Gebrüder Friedländer) stamps. Very good condition with deep patina.

Antique Sterling SILVER Card Case 19th C This is a very attractive Sterling silver card case with elaborately decorated floral motif on both side. The case is hallmarked and according to my reading this item was manufactured by Whiting Manufacturing Company, New York, New York 1866-1926 a major manufacturer of full line of quality flatware and hallo ware that was absorbed into Gorham in 1926...

Fantastic pottery double-handled urn decorated in an underglaze blue floral transfer and clobbered with overglaze iron red, yellow and purple pigments. The effect is much like chintz china, but with stronger coloring. The bottom bears the mark used by Cauldon Potteries from 1905 to 1920. The form and size of this vase, combined with its rich coloring, makes for a truly stunning piece of Staffordshire pottery.

English Imari pattern soft Ironstone two(2) handle Pastry tray, or serving tray, 19th century, 10 1/2" x 9" wide with two(2) handles in fluted rim, 1 1/4" high, Peony flowering branches decorated with underglaze blue, overglaze red and gold. This pastry tray feels very smooth and soft ivory white color and no damages except some gilding decorations are worn on the edges.

Very minor flake to top rim and a tight firing line to one side of top of handled (not damage but made during manufacturing) and fine tiny burst bubbles in cobalt glaze, also part of manufacturing process. This porcelain and sterling silver tea pot was produced in Trenton, New Jersey by Lenox around 1906. The pot measures 9 ½” from handle to spout and 6 ¼” high including the lid. The lid locks into the pot. The photos show the porcelain being a bit off white, but it is actually more ivory colored, more so than the average Lenox piece. It has the letter “S” engraved into the plaque on one side.
