Lovely Victorian bonbon spoon by Gorham in the 1894 “Imperial Chrysanthemum” pattern. The ornate handle is decorated with chrysanthemum blossoms, while the gilt bowl is pierced with a pattern suggesting chrysanthemum foliage. The back of the handle is as ornate at the front. The back is marked with old Gorham hallmark.

Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, all original including gilding, no monogram. Size: 4-3/4” long. Weight: 20.5 grams.

Antique watercolor drawing of flowers in an ornate vase, circa mid 19th century, 13 1/4" by 9 1/4" (16 1/4" by 12 1/4" in later wood frame), executed in a charming style typical of folk art of the period. The drawing shows its advanced age with some fading of the roses, a toned paper, and an old inch plus edge tear at bottom. See other old American folk drawings in my shop.

A Green and White Nailsea Victorian Baluster shaped Glass Vase with a Ruffled Top. There is a White Swirl Overall Design on the Green Background, which is Characteristic of Nailsea. Late 19th century. Dimensions 9.25" high x 4.5" wide. Excellent condition.

These darling 2 1/2" tall Koala bears are antique velvet. They have some kind of metal buttons for eyes and noses. Their little paws wrap around the real nut shells. They have old red ribbons around their necks. The ribbons are old but may not be original. The velvet has lost some of the pile but it is not noticeable with the foundation fabric being the same color. They are a little bit soft with an inner core of wood so they sit nicely. You can tell they are best friends. Circa 1890

French Papier Mache lacquered Chinoiserie decorated tray, 5/8" high, 10" diameter, Ca. late 1800's, with family outings to river bank Pavilion. There are some wear on lacquer finish and stains but no major damages.

Antique Continental 18thc mortar but no pestle, very nice antique for both display and kitchen use.

An oversized plate (10 ½ inches (26.7 cm) diameter) with a hand painted bouquet of petunias in the center, surrounded by a thick gilt band and the elaborately molded lip with the molding picked out in gold. The printed blue KPM mark on the bottom was used during the years 1847 to 1849. There is also an incised Roman numeral four and possibly the number 14. It was probably used as a serving plate for pastry or cake.

Condition: no chips cracks hairlines or repairs...

A Whiskey sterling silver bottle label or ticket hallmarked for Birmingham 1899. This antique Whisky label hangs on a loop chain, and it weighs 8.5 grams. This item is in excellent antique condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. Painted cast iron paperweight, probably by Hubley.

Origin: America, ca. 1920. Condition: very minimal paint loss (less than 5%). Size: 1-5/8" tall.

A Victorian diamond cut crystal scent or perfume bottle, barrel shaped, c 1900. Length "2 /5.5 cm. Condition: stopper not belonging.

A lobed dinner plate with dentil gilt rim, the lip with a garland of flowers and leaves twined around a thick gold band and the center of the well with a large spray of roses surrounded by smaller sprays of flowers. Diameter 9 ½ inches (24 cm). The mark in underglaze blue on the back is the crossed torches of Locre, sometimes called La Courtille. The factory was active from 1773 to 1824...

A lobed dinner plate 9 ½ inches (24 cm) diameter decorated with a sprig of cornflowers (?) in the center of the well surrounded with numerous single red or gilt flowers. The lip is decorated with richly gilt and enamel swags surrounding floral cartouches. The rubbed overglaze “VV” on the back is the mark for the Verneuilh factory. It dates from the 1780’s; possibly 1787 when Vanier entered a contract with the Verneuilhs.

Condition, no hairlines or repairs...

Papier maché and mother of pearl plaque depicting the romantic ruins of medieval Llanthony Priory in Wales. Probably part of a Victorian portrait case and made by Jennens & Bettridge around 1840. Jennens (sometimes Jennings) and Bettridge, originally based in Birmingham, were famous for their beautiful papier maché products and had stores in New York and Paris as well. Their mother of pearl inlay was covered with tinted varnish as to create an iridescent effect...

A sauceboat with attached undertray, handles on either side and spouts at either end. Decorated with hand colored transfer printing and with gilded highlights as well as gilded edges. On the base in green is the printed mark for Kuznetsov porcelain company which owned a number of factories in Russia. The date of around 1880 is based on the decoration which follows French decoration of the late 19th century. 4 ¾ inches (12cm) tall, 10 ½ inches (27 cm) long and 6 3/8 inches (16.5 cm) wide...

This is a antique fanciful relief -carved ivory crocodile on a curved base with scalloped edges; beautiful detail; possibly from a letter opener. Measurement: length 3 1/4 inches. Condition: underside has epoxy residue from previous attachment to another surface.

An antique Unger Bros sterling silver stamp safe or case circa 1890. This scarce late Victorian era 1-7/8" x 1-3/8" American sterling silver stamp safe has a lovely floral repouse design. This pocket stamp carrier is similar to a match safe in appearance, but smaller and without the striker edge. It has two circular cutouts on the upper edge for grasping the stamps. In the Victorian era, letter writing was a more popular pastime, so these boxes were a necessity to a well appointed desk...
