A Large English Staffordshire Compote, circa 1830-1840. Dimensions 12" x 10.5" x 7" high. Excellent condition. Probably Rockingham or Ridgway. With items 912 and 913 it serves as a set.

This porcelain serving platter was produced in Germany by the Carl Thieme Dresden studio in the 1890s. It measures 11 1/4” long and 10” wide. The border has a reticulated pattern and there are handles on both sides. The platter has a bouquet of brilliantly colored flowers that were expertly hand painted. A black lacquered papier mâché wine coaster, the sides enhanced with an unusual gilt pattern of stylized grape leaves and tendrils along with thistles. The decoration is in excellent condition, with a nice warm patina.

Offered is this beautiful antique oil lamp (the lamp has been electrified), made by Sheldon. It is made in the highly collectible swirled-glass decor. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The porcelain is fine white bone china. It has molded decoration in the porcelain and the edges are slightly scalloped. The ground color is done in gold and ivory tones. There are colorful bouquets of flowers hand painted on both pieces...

This porcelain loving cup was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1911. There is a date cipher that indicates this year. The cup is 4 1/2 inches high and is 5 inches across the handles. It is made of fine, white bone china. It has delicate handles and a pedestal base. The cup is beautifully hand painted with garlands of tiny roses and forget-me-nots. There is heavy raised gilding around the border of the cup, on the handles, and on the foot. Condition: Excellent

A Howard Sterling Co. 4 piece brush and mirror set from the 1890s. This high relief, decorative personal grooming set consists of the 10 x 5" hand mirror with beveled glass, the 9-1/4 x 3" hair brush, the 5-5/8 x 1-3/4" small clothes or shoulder brush and the 7 x 2-1/2" large clothes brush. This vanity or dresser set matches, it has the Howard marks, STERLING, 925/1000 and a patent date of 1892 (PAT. '92.)...

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Brown, Westhead & Moore around 1875. It is not marked but we found the shape in “A Compendium of British Cups” by Berthoud. The saucer measures 5 ¼ inches and the cup is 2 ¾ inches high. The set has wonderful celeste blue enamel coloring. There are bands of tiny hand painted flowers accenting the rims. Gilded accents and gold trim on rims and handles add to the design. CONDITION: Excellent

Offered is this beautiful, applied-threaded, Czech / Bohemian, ribbed glass fan vase, made most likely by Kralik. The vase is 9 1/2 inches (24 cm) tall, 8 inches (20,5 cm) wide and 2 1/4 inches (5,5 cm) deep. The vase is in very good condition. Polished pontil. Unsigned, except for the, 'Czechoslovakia', mark on its bottom (barely visible in the last picture) - the straight-line 'Czechoslovakia' mark was used by Kralik.

An outstanding Arts & Crafts style 900 silver letter opener, the top embellished with an enameled horses head against a stippled background. The letter opener is quite heavy and both the silver and the enamel are of the finest quality. Marked “900”.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Franziska Hirsch Dresden studio in the 1890s. The saucer measures 4 1/4 inches in diameter and the cup is 1 1/2 inches high. It is similar to what is known as a 4 o’clock tea size made by the French Limoges companies. The cup has 8 ribbed panels coordinating with the scalloped panels on the saucer. All of the panels are hand painted with vibrantly colored flowers...

Outstanding brass match holder the pocket formed in the shape of a shield and punch-decorated in a stars and stripes pattern. The pocket is surmounted by a punch-decorated American eagle underneath the motto “In God We Trust”. This motto was adopted in 1863 as a subtle government reminder during the Civil War that God was on the side of the Union troops fighting to end the evil of slavery. The backplate has a punchwork border and also a hole for hanging.
