A transfer printed, hand colored and gilt large mug with Japanese inspired patterns on two sides, an elaborate decoration on the inside rim and a brown edge at the top. Blue printed mark on the bottom. The body is hand thrown, but the handle is molded. Circa 1820. 4 5/8 (12 cm) tall 5 1/8 (13 cm) diameter body, with handle 7 inches (18 cm) diameter.

A hand thrown and painted hard paste porcelain punch bowl decorated on the outside with four bunches of roses and four groups of buds of roses around the outside under a wavy orange border on a tall foot. The inside edge is a band of black and orange hexagons in a Chinese manner under a gilt rim. In the bottom of the bowl is another bunch of roses. Unmarked and obviously European though Italian is a guess rather than a certainty. Late 18th century...

Hand painted in dark underglaze blue with a serrated rim this large bowl is soft paste porcelain. The decoration of a Chinese arrangement of flowers and twining plants is typical of Tournai. Height 4.5 inches (11 cm) and 11 inches (28 cm) diameter. Late 18th century.

Condition: no chips, cracks or repairs. Some scratches to the interior of the bowl and small flaw in the body of the bowl.

This style of decoration was popular at the time and still looks excellent today.

A rare pair of Pearlware pottery figures depicting Venus and Neptune made in Staffordshire during either the late 18th or very early 19th Century. A similar pair of figures are illustrated in "The price Guide to 18th Century English Pottery" by Sally Mount, published by the Antique Collectors' Club (1972). Condition: there are some losses to the enamel colours; no cracks, no repairs and no restoration. 23.5cm (9.25 inches) high.

A classic 19th century French 2nd standard (900/1000 pure silver) tastevin, inset at the base with a 1702 coin bearing the likeness of King Louis XIV surrounded by the legend translated as "Louis XIV by grace of god King of France and Navarre." The bowl of the tastevin is finished with the typical arrangement of "perles" and elongated "godrons" designed to create reflections in the wine to better judge its color and clarity...

A fine baluster wine glass with a solid base funnel bowl atop a stem with a teared acorn knop and a basal knop. Acorn knops are one of the least common formations in baluster glasses. The glass has a conical folded foot with a rough, snapped pontil.

A very fine Bohemian ruby cut to clear goblet featuring a sylvan deer at rest frosted with fine texture and relief. A high quality milk glass goblet paneled with 9 facets and decorated with 3D grape and leaf design, most likely Westmoreland No. 1881. Stem is also faceted, standing on round foot. The "milk" alternates between translucence and opacity. This goblet is early 20th C. and in excellent condition.

A large and exceptional example of fine American tinsel or foil painting featuring a pair of pheasants on branches, surrounded by a wreath of flowers. The scene has the rare "snowflake" type of background. A fine matched pair of ceramic recumbent lions of molded construction having maize yellow ware enamel. The careful observer will note that the lions are not a mirror match, but they complement each other and were most likely produced this way. This beautiful turquoise or robin's egg blue goblet is elegant and timeless. Its tall urn shaped bowl sits atop a short stem with globular knop. There are no seams which suggests that it is hand blown. While it is unmarked it is believed to be made by the highly regarded German-French glass maker Vallerysthal & Portieux. My glass expert believes that it dates to c. 1930, although I have reason to believe that it may be earlier.
