A Victorian Sterling Silver Presentation Inkstand or Standish with Taperstick. The Inkstand is Assayed in Sheffield 1864, with the maker "IH" probably john Harrelson. The Cut Glass Inkwells, with Hinged Silver Lids are from Birmingham 1863, with the makers mark of "IC", probably James Collins. The Dimensions are 11.25" in width x 7.5" deep x 5" high to the inkwell and 6.5" high to the taperstick. The stand without the inkwells weighs approximately 22 Standard/20 Troy ounces...

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Mintons in the late 19th century. The saucer has a diameter of 4 3/8 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set has a wonderful scarlet red ground color. It is decorated with embossed gold medallions and gilded swags. The rims have wide embossed gold borders...

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France circa 1800. It is unmarked. There are incised lines in the porcelain. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches and is 1 1/4 inches deep. The cup is 2 3/8 inches high. The set is decorated with knots of stylized flowers in vibrant colors. There are bands of tooled gilding in leaf and flower patterns. The interior of the cup, handle and rim of the saucer are heavily gilded. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tea pot with stand was produced in England around 1790 to 1810. We had seen a similar pot identified as Chamberlain Worcester. There are no marks or numbers to identify it. The pot measures 10 inches from the handle to the spout and approximately 6 inches high, including the lid. The porcelain has a grayish hue. The pot has molded ribs with a C shaped scrolled handle. The borders of the pot and stand are cobalt blue...

A Silvered Pewter Art Nouveau Shell Shaped Dish or Tray with a Sculptured Nude, Signed "Jacques Callob, 1895". Dimensions; 10.5" long x 9.5" wide x 2" high. French and in excellent condition.

A Gorham Sterling Silver Tea Kettle or Hot Water Kettle on a Warming Stand. Dimensions; 7" high, 9.5" to handle, 12.5" on stand. Weight a heavy 48 Troy ounces. In addition to the Gorham mark and the date mark for 1905, it is marked 3.5 pints and A3776. Excellent condition.

Finely potted blue and white Chinese export Canton handleless sugar bowl with minute, barely discernible firing flaws. About 5-1/2" W x 5-5/8" H. No chips, frits, hairlines or repairs. Sugar bowls with braided handles were harder to make and morphed into the later handleless ones, c. 1880-1910. Described as "rare" by the Schiffers in CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN, c. 1975. Insured shipping at cost.

A 800 solid hand engraved Italian lidded canister or box circa 1930-35. This lovely silver item is gilded on the interior and it has a lobed design with ornate floral engraving. It could possibly have been for cigarettes, although similar items were also prodiced to hold sugar or tea. It is stamped 800 MILANO and A RONCHI on the bottom...

A vintage, crisply patterned early Canadian pressed or pattern glass 8-1/2" pitcher in the Nova Scotia Starflower pattern (Trenton Glass). Also known as Dewdrop and Flowers (Sandwich 1870s-80s) in the United States, this pitcher is in excellent condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a tiny fleabite chip at the bottom of the handle (see image)...

Red Lacquered Papier Mache Pencil Box, beautifully painted of children at play in gold and other soft colors near the bridge, 1 1/4" high, 8 5/8" x 3 3/4" wide. This pencil box has divided interior and hinged top with small round brass button in front to operate the openings and closing when you push the brass button. The lacquer painting on top of the lid is in good condition. There are some red lacquer losses under the top and inside.

A Magnificent George III Sterling Silver Hot Water Jug by the Noted Silversmith Paul Storr, Hallmarked in London, 1809. A Unique Double Ivory Handle, Emanating from Serpents and ending in an Inverted Swans Head. A Gadrooned Lower Base and a Gadroon and Shell Design on the Shoulder. The number "798" is just next to the Storr Hallmark. Dimensions: 8.5" high, weight 32 standard/ 29.2 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

From our Indian Subcontinent Collection, a fine 19th century Lahore carpet featuring wool on wool construction, utilizing a vibrant palette dominated primarily by various blue on blue hues, accented with burgundy, taupe, cream, lilac and green.

Size and Condition: 11 3/4 feet x 8 3/4 feet. Great pile throughout, strong coloration with only slight oxidation. Remains of original fringe still present, but trimmed...
