This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France circa 1800. It is unmarked. There are incised lines in the porcelain. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches and is 1 1/4 inches deep. The cup is 2 3/8 inches high. The set is decorated with knots of stylized flowers in vibrant colors. There are bands of tooled gilding in leaf and flower patterns. The pot measures 10 inches from the handle to the spout and approximately 6 inches high, including the lid. The porcelain has a grayish hue. The pot has molded ribs with a C shaped scrolled handle. The borders of the pot and stand are cobalt blue...

Finely potted blue and white Chinese export Canton handleless sugar bowl with minute, barely discernible firing flaws. About 5-1/2" W x 5-5/8" H. No chips, frits, hairlines or repairs. Sugar bowls with braided handles were harder to make and morphed into the later handleless ones, c. 1880-1910. Described as "rare" by the Schiffers in CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN, c. 1975. Red Lacquered Papier Mache Pencil Box, beautifully painted of children at play in gold and other soft colors near the bridge, 1 1/4" high, 8 5/8" x 3 3/4" wide. This pencil box has divided interior and hinged top with small round brass button in front to operate the openings and closing when you push the brass button. The lacquer painting on top of the lid is in good condition. There are some red lacquer losses under the top and inside.
