This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Copelands China in the 1880s for the retailer J.E. Caldwell of Philadelphia. They measure 8 1/8 inches in diameter. The porcelain blanks are fluted and scalloped. The ground color is salmon pink. They are decorated with an elaborate pattern of raised enamel beads and intricate gilding. They are an example of the splendor of porcelain in the “Gilded Age”. These plates are exhibition worthy. Condition: Excellent

These 6 porcelain tea cups and saucers were produced in Germany by Meissen around 1890. The saucers are 5 ¼” in diameter and ¾” deep. The cups are 1 ¾” high and 3 ¼” In diameter. The porcelain is molded in high relief. Intricate gilding highlights the raised designs. There are reserves with hand painted flowers of vivid colors and fine detail. This porcelain parasol handle was produced in Germany by a Dresden manufacturer in the late 19th century. It is unmarked but the workmanship is definitely from Dresden. It is 5 1/2 inches long and the knob is 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The ground color is cobalt blue. The knob has a scene of lovers in a garden inside a cartouche of ornate raised gilding. A very nice Imperial Russian enameled silver spoon by Gustav Klingert. The bowl is beautifully decorated in five shades of opaque cloisonné enamels and in translucent red and amethyst. The design I modified floral pattern with a Persian-style reserve. The handle is finished in a fish-scale enameled pattern. Exposed areas of silver are stippled and gilt. The interior of the bowl is engraved “Moscow”, indicating that the spoon was sold as a souvenir to an American or English visitor...

A fine matched pair of ceramic recumbent lions of molded construction having maize yellow ware enamel. The careful observer will note that the lions are not a mirror match, but they complement each other and were most likely produced this way. While the condition of the lions is less than pristine, having minor enamel losses and one minor chip as shown in the photos, we believe that serious collectors will appreciate the earliness and uniqueness of these ceramic lions...

It is unusual to find such a striking multi-colored basket of such size and in such wonderful condition. The splint basket, with its wooden handle, is from the Northeast area of the United States, and is done in shades of blue-green, orange-red, and brown.

The basket is 18" long, 12" wide, and 14 " to the top of the handle. Overall condition is excellent, with only one splint split on the interior, not visible from the outside.

A very attractive late 19th century first standard (950/1000 pure silver) wine taster by Parisian silversmith Louis Coignet. The tastevin is decorated in the Bourgogne style with an applied handle in snake form. The serpent is beautifully decorated with engraved scales and eyes. The sides are enhanced with repousse and chased decoration of grape clusters and vine leaves. This example is classic form, but has a very steep convex bottom and no “godrons” or “perles” along the sides...

This Victorian serving piece is a small sterling silver ladle made by Whiting and perfect for pouring a fruit sauce over that special dessert. It has a lovely square shaped gilded bowl with a scalloped rim edge and shell ribbing and beaded handle, monogram ESC, maker's mark "W", a winged griffin, "Sterling, PatAppp For", measures 6 in; very good condition with age appropriate wear to gilt.
