An interesting blue and white hand pained porcelain plate of two scholars(?) greeting each other and a boy carrying a load in front of water with a rising moon in the far distance. There is an elaborate border including scholar’s roles on the side of the well between the rim and the center and at the outside of the rim leaf and flower border. I suspect that there is a very good version of this scene that was the model for this quickly done one that has a kind of folk art charm...

An on-guard couple standing on scaly talons, ready to take flight if the party talk turns dull. Heads detachable for hiding a secret stash of treats or booze. A rare hammered brass cigar humidor bearing the double-headed eagle insignia of Russia's Romanov dynasty. The tall humidor is of seamed construction and has a hammered surface. Exquisitely hand painted Sevres porcelain card/candy dish. Romantic scene showing couple playing the flute (signed). Base and handles are made in bronze, cobalt blue border with golden decorations. Back side shows two seals. We believe that this dish was crafted for The Castle of The Tulleries, Paris.

Lovely early Victorian angel skin coral ring with 10 carved florets and one large carved coral flower at the center, set in a pleasing symmetrical pattern. This ring has a 9K gold band while the coral florets are set in a metal bed. The Victorians loved angel skin coral, which is a red-orange or light pink colored coral, and they especially loved coral cut into cameos, flowers, or fruit. This ring has a rather large head and is therefore best worn alone. This ring is a US size 7.75.

English large Porcelain deep Soup Plate, wide Wine Burgundy color rim with raised gold decoration with enamel white dots decorated, Ca. 1900, 10" wide, 1 1/2" high, high quality and beautifully decorated in raised Gold design on wide flat rim. Marked faded blue and impressed mark and "England" on the bottom, and number "2869H" in red. The condition is good, shows some wears on gold and wine color rim.

This attractive antique full length 18K watch chain has alternating carved ornamental solid gold by-pyramid link (what we call a "fancy" link) which connects to a pair of linked rings, which connects to simple solid gold by-pyramid link. The C1880 chain measures 59 inches long. It can be worn in various lengths, doubled or tripled, with a locket or pendant, or just as is, shown in the images below. A screwed in bolt clip allows you to add a pendant, if desired...

From our European Collection, an absolutely marvelous Victorian sterling silver two-handled oval serving platter by Mappin & Webb, London, 1897, fully marked, with superb chasing and casting featuring floral scrolls and phoenix, open-work gallery lions, basins and ancient mask heads, and with curled serpents for handles.
