From our European Porcelain Collection, a very fine Doccia (Italian) tin-glazed, hard paste porcelain teacup and saucer, late 18th century circa 1780-1790, probably Ginori factory, very well-painted with a bucolic landscape of what looks like a country estate executed in puce, with a rich baroque border of gilding against a dark cobalt blue ground. This is a truly splendid high quality set.

A classic 19th century 2nd standard (800/1000 pure silver) tastevin, inset at the base with a 1669 coin bearing the likeness of King Louis XIV surrounded by "Louis XIV by grace of God King of France and Navarre." The obverse of the coin can be seen from the bottom of the tastevin. The coin is surrounded by the typical pattern of "perles" and elongated "godrons" designed to create reflections in the wine to better judge its color and clarity...

This porcelain tea cup and suacer was produced in Bohemia by Pirkenhammer in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 5 ½ inches and the cup is 2 inches high. This porcelain perfume bottle with stopper was produced in France in the mid 19th century. It has some impressed letters and numbers but they are not legible. The style of the gilding and the lady’s dress are typical of the mid 19th century and so this would be considered “Paris Porcelain.” It is similar to porcelain produced by Sevres. A superb quality 19th century hand painted German porcelain double spills vase c1860-80. This decorative mantle piece measures 7-3/4" wide and it stands 7-1/4" tall; it is in the form of a boy at the seashore with waves and two shells acting as the vases. A large copper lustre jug / pitcher, both sides transfer printed with Charity as a mother with children, having pity on yet another child. Sunderland, England c 1830, unmarked. Height "5 ½ / 13.5 cm. Condition: a firing crack visible at the base and a glaze bubble to the Charity image to one side (cf. pics). A smaller Sunderland jug with Hope is presented in another GC offer (cf. last pic).

A lovely large brass alloy / bronze vessel, dating to the late 17th. cent. probably 1680-1710, workshop Nürenberg and maker was Johann Windhösel - Leuchtmacher and cappucine munk in the city in that period.

Very decorative and fine quality baroque art. The vessel with loops in the form of human figures for suspending the chains. The vessel is c. 98 cm. when hanging.

Condition: Choice and intact with a nice patina and smooth wear from use and polishing.
