This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. It has first quality blue crossed swords markings under glaze. This porcelain and sterling silver tea pot was produced in Trenton, New Jersey by Lenox around 1906. The pot measures 9 ½” from handle to spout and 6 ¼” high including the lid. The lid locks into the pot. The photos show the porcelain being a bit off white, but it is actually more ivory colored, more so than the average Lenox piece. It has the letter “S” engraved into the plaque on one side. A lovely sterling silver fancy serving fork in an unnamed Art Nouveau pattern by the Baird-North Co. The handle is beautifully decorated with a thorny vine of wild roses. The back is decorated in a simpler design of roses. The splayed tines are ornately pierced. A fork of this shape would probably have been used to serve bacon, but it might also be useful for cold meats. The reverse is marked “Sterling/Pat. 1903”...

Wonderful Doulton Burslem pitcher trimmed with gold with lovely handpainted flowers on both the front and back. There is a fabulous gold grotesque head on the spout. It has the brown Doulton Burslem on the bottom. It measures 10" tall x 5" diameter not including the handle. This great pitcher is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

The cup is 2 1/2 inches high and 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The cup has a puffy, blown-out shape with molded panels. The saucer is heart shaped and also has molded scrolls in the porcelain. The main color is greenish turquoise. Brightly colored, hand painted flowers fill the panels around the cup and surround the interior of the saucer...

Great pair of cast iron owl andirons with glass eyes that light up from the flames of the fire. They measure 15" tall X 9 1/2" wide x 16" deep, are attributed to Howes Foundry of Boston, Mass., and are from the 1880s. They are marked on the side of the rail #918-1 and Made in USA, and on the back of the owl 3000 and the number 2. They are in excellent original condition with no damage, including the glass eyes.

An elegantly proportioned and executed Georgian wine flute of lead metal. The drawn trumpet bowl sits above a double series opaque twist (DSOT) stem which is comprised of a pair of spiral threads around a central gauze. Conical foot with rough, snapped pontil.

The condition of the glass is excellent, with no cracks or chips. Good color, striations, and tool marks. There is a very small in the making dip at one point on the rim...

School girl hand embroidered sampler from New Hampshire, late 18th or early 19th century. Measures 6 5/8" x 10 1/4", in frame measuring 10 1/2" x 14 1/4", with green mat and tan paper backboard. The scene is very folky, obviously a creative design by the child doing the embroidery. Often samplers were copied from images provided by the "school" of handwork, but this is clearly an imaginative work...

German Meissen Porcelain oval shape fluted deep serving Platter, 13" x 9 3/4" wide, 1 1/2" high, with Bouquet of roses and other floral design on top of the molded Basket weave pattern border, underglaze blue cross sword mark with impressed mark "45" on the bottom. The condition is good, no damage or restoration.

A spectacular and beautiful circa 1730 English silk embroidered apron front, exquisitely embroidered in polychrome silk and metallic threads with garlands and sprays of flowers urns. Scalloped edges are finished with embroidered metallic trim. A somewhat later but very similar example is shown in The Lotus Collection.

There are some scattered unimportant splits and very very minor and small spots of discoloration, all to be expected in such a delicate piece. The textile size is 41 3/8" by 17 ...
