This set of 12 porcelain plates was produced in England by Copeland’s China around 1891. They were made especially for Tiffany in New York. The plates have a diameter of 8 7/8 inches. Webb satin finish peachblow rose bowl, 3 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall. The bowl is cased in white with the exterior shaded from dark red at the top to a yellowish red at the bottom. The rim is crimped and edged in gold. The body of the rose bowl is decorated with gold prunus and a butterfly. There is a ground and polished pontil mark.

A French lavishly decorated urn-shaped vase with handles, c 1850 in Rococo Revival style. The foot and bowl in the classical manner have been made separately and are joined by brass and iron parts (extra photos transmitted on demand). The abundant decoration on front and back is matched by the brilliant blue of the undecorated sides. Chinese export silver mug, ca 1850. Straight and upward tapering sides applied with leafing bamboo on stippled ground. Branch-form handle and rims. Applied rondel engraved with single-letter monogram in buckled belt. On underside is engraved “H. J. T. / 1855”. Interior gilt washed. Chinese mark and initials KHC for Khe Cheong, a Canton silversmith and retailer active from ca 1830s-70s. Very good condition.

Oval window in shaped surround with scrolls and flower heads at top, and leaves, stars, flowers, and heart cartouche vacant on stippled ground at bottom. A very nice Victorian lacquered papier-mache folding corner shelf decorated with Chinese court scenes depicting a pair of noble ladies relaxing amidst their finery. Two-handled celadon jarlet; the glaze extending halfway down the body and in a soft green shade. The exposed earthenware is a reddish hue. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in France in the late 19th century. We believe it was produced by a Paris manufacturer who used a faux Sevres mark on it. The saucer is 4 5/8 inches in diameter and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The porcelain is very delicate and translucent. The cup is molded with melon ribs, has a scalloped rim and a fancy handle.
