Rare antique early 18th century exceptional large Polish flintlock saddle holster pistol. It features a very long two-stage barrel with a tapered iron barrel. The flattened rib of the barrel is bordered by cut, narrow grooves and is hand-signed at the top with the word "DANTZIG." The breech section of the pistol is finely hand-chiseled in low relief with a portrait bust on the plinth surrounded by laurel leaf branches and scrolls. A walnut full stock has iron mounts...

A large and rare, early 19th C Gathering Basket from North Carolina of rectangle shape with 2 steamed and bent handles. In great condition, it is very tightly woven with a double wrapped rim. Basket is coated with cream colored paint, probably milk paint. Wood is unknown, possibly split oak. From the private collection of an appraiser of Early Americana. A beautiful, hand enameled cup-and-saucer set, made by either Moser or Monot & Stumpf (of France). The under-plate is 4 3/8 inches (11 cm) wide, while, the cup is 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) wide and 1 3/4 inches (4,5 cm) tall. They are both in fine condition. There is slight fluorescence when they are subjected to long-wavelength UV light - so, they were probably made around 1900.

This figurine was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg c. 1910. It has the impressed shield, printed mark and artist’s initials W N for Entwurf Wilhelm Newhauser. They are pictured in the book “Die Tierplastik her Nyympherburger Porzellan" by Gerhard P. Woeckel. The group measures 12 inches high, 8 3/4 inches deep and 7 inches wide. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Carl Thieme Dresden around 1900. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The porcelain is fine and translucent. The saucer has a scalloped edge and the cup has a split handle. The porcelain is nicely detailed. Vibrant garlands of hand painted flowers encircle both pieces. Lacy gilding gleams on the rims. Condition: Excellent
