A tortoise shell and sterling silver inlay cigarette box, the interior cedar wood. The underline of the text with makers mark for Saunders & Shepherd (the firm founded in 1869 and still working), town mark for their Chester branch and L for 1894. Measures "4 / 10.3 cm x "4 / 10 x "2/ 5 cm. Condition: slight warping to the corners of the lid (cf. pics).
Antique Regency Sarcophagus Form Tea Chest in rosewood having a hinged lid inlaid with a classical scene with griffins flanking an urn and opening to a fitted interior with two removable lidded caddies and a later sugar bowl and spoon, and the whole mounted with brass lion and ring handles and feet.

An unusual and attractive pair of tall mirrors, each reverse painted with a basket of flowers suspended from a green and gold tassel, further decorated with swags of bellflowers suspended from green and gold ribbons. Encased in original carved mahogany frames with original wood backboards .
Excellent condition with no issues. The sight size of each is 23 1/2" by 11 3/8" and the overall size of each is 34" by 22".

Pair 18th Century Italian Rococo Gold frame girandole Mirrors, Ca. 1750-1780, 26" high, 16" wide, 7" deep, original mercury glass and original one(1) bronze candle arm for each mirror. From our European Collection, a very fine Federal Giltwood Pier Mirror, early 19th century circa 1800-1820, featuring a looking glass surmounted by a good maritime scene, bordered on top by a pair of angels exquisitely rendered in gilded gesso suspended beneath an overhanging cornice, and flanked by gilded ribboned columns on the sides.
This particular mirror is an excellent example of its kind, and is especially well-preserved...
Tiffany Studios gilt bronze Venetian pattern letter holder. Images are the same on both sides. Bottom is marked: Tiffany Studios, New York, 1643.
According to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, “The "Venetian" pattern was one of the more elaborate designs for ornamental desk sets. It is described in a 1920 trade catalogue as decorated with fields of richly chased ornament relieved by a deeply carved band of ermines at the base of each piece."

Rectangular black laquered snuffbox enhanced with mustard- and red-painted decoration on all six surfaces. The inside of the lid is engraved "Alexr> C. Stark/Paterson, NJ". American, ca. 1830. Excellent condition, showing slight surface wear where Mr. Stark (obviously a right handed gentlemen) placed his thumb to open the box.
