A lovely high quality flintlock pistol with 2-staged barrel in brass, London marks, made by Bate, late 18th. cent.

All brass construction except for the lock. The lock is marked "BATE", the top barrel flat at the breech end is marked "LONDON" and the left rear flat is marked with two crown over crossed scepter proofmarks. Offered are two desirable hand tools from the mid 19th century.

The first tool is a diminutive hammer which was probably used to drive small nails and tacks. The handle measures 8.5 inches long and sports a shapely head made of iron. This hand wrought primitive tool has a nice original patina and shows wear commensurate with age.

The first one is a handsome club stamped "THOS. E. WILSON & Co." HAND FORGED and SPADE MASHIE. It dates to the early 1930s shortly after hickory shafted clubs transitioned to metal shafts. Feminine Silver Dress Cane-Ca. 1890-Silver handle hand chased and engraved with various panels of different flowers, scrolls and shells on its stretching stem and with a crown of flowers on the round and flattened knob, mahogany shaft and a copper ferrule. This lovely example has a subtle, coffin-shape form and sports a dovetailed base that was expertly joined. This handsome tool measures 7.25 inches long and retains its original, aged, brownish patina. The owner's initials, "N.S", are stamped on the heel of this plane.

ROCKFORD WATCH Co. 18 Size, Hunting Model 15j Circa: 1884. Model 3, 15 jewels, full plate gilt, lever set, serial No. 229,547. This is a great stick featuring three ivory carved monkeys with glass eyes. This stick has great detail and has a monogram on one side that says Henry G. Schwarz 1006 Chestnut St. Phila. PA. Not sure if this refers to a store or a person. The sterling is marked Lyon Maker Sterling. This stick measures 35 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/4". The handle itself measures 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/4". The collar is 3/4" and the ferrule is 1".
