This is an extremely rare, unique IMPORTANT Olmec quartz engraved plaque. I have only seen a handful of authentic Olmec quartz pieces in my 40 years of collecting. I have two others listed on this site. I have never seen another Olmec quartz plaque. This piece is highly transparent, water clear and dates 1200-600BC. It is made from a large rare thin 'Tabby' crystal with notches on the side. It is 3.75 inches square by 1/8"...

Impressive pottery stamp seal carved with 4 birds (Flamingos?) over a geomethric panel, Pre-Columbian, Chancay, 12th.-15th. century AD.

The stamp is completely intact and massive! There's a projecting spike on the back.

Size: 10 cm. wide and 5,1 cm. tall.c. 5 cm. deep.

This outstanding frame of bone points are from the Columbia River, Oregon and are C700-1200. They were pictured in the Oregon Archaeological Society Magazine "Screenings" Volume 5 Number 6 on August 13, 1956. A copy of the article is included. They were recovered from the Wakemap Mound. The longest is 3". These are extremely rare bone items with beautiful patina.

This extraordinarily rare Olmec Jade dagger or possible bloodletter was found together with the below quartz dagger, This piece is 4 1/2" long. The little Olmec man on the top is only 1 1/4". You can imagine the amount of work that went into creating and carving this miniature little man using only abrasion. Sculptures such as these are every much of a marvel as the great Olmec heads and the intricate Mayan temple carvings. This is truly a masterpiece in miniature...

Antique Pre-Columbian Mayan circa 500 to 900 A.D. terracotta head fragment adorned with one ear spool.

CONDITION: The item shows signs of age and use with patina and earthen deposits. It is also chipped.

PROVENANCE: The object came from a private Canadian collection of antiques and was sold by a reputable Canadian auction house in the 1980s.

This is a carved portrait of Christ in gem quality emerald from Colombia. It has been specific gravity tested. It originated from the Chivor mining area in Colombia which produced higher grade specimens than the Muzo or Coscuez areas. It dates to around the middle 1600's and shows no evidence of modern tool marks. It is 233.24 carats. It is 1 1/2" tall, 1/1/4" wide and 1" deep. The patina is beautiful. It is a fabulous hand or pocket piece. I don't know of another Christ carving in emerald...

Pre-Columbian Nayarit male Kokopelli ca. 300 ad, playing a wood rasp drum with a horned helmet, the Kokopelli of the prehistoric southwest was described as a man with a terribly deformed back, bent over playing a flute with magical powers and was able to communicate with the Gods, I believe this is the grandfather of the prehistoric southwest Kokopelli, meaning the legends of the Kokopelli didn't start in the southwest but much further south.
