Rare Japanese Tansu made of inlaid woods with lacquer panels. Beautifully inlaid with wood in designs of fans and japanese symbols. The inside has black with gold landscape scenes. The drawers are black with copper colored design. The doors have scenes with chickens and a rooster. Outfitted with brass hardware. It measures 13" deep 23" wide 21" tall. Late Meiji period, circa 1910.

Rare Japanese keyaki wood choba tansu with 15 exterior drawers (3 interior drawers) and a locking bar, keyaki (elm) wood front and frame with dramatic grain and lacquer finish, elaborate iron metal wood including moko shaped drawer pulls, locking bar has iron work with bamboo motif, the safe box has a key and the three small drawers on the inside are made all of kiri wood with handles to match the front exterior, Edo Period, Makuni area. Size: 38" high x 34" wide x 14 3/4" deep.

This set of four Guang Xu Period (1875~1908) Mille Fleurs (thousand flowers) dishes are 1 ¾ inches tall and 5 ¾ inches in diameter. Hundreds of different kinds of flowers cover them all. The workmanship is superb and precise. The gold trim on the rims has slightly rubbed off. They are in great condition.

Attractive small bowl, possibly a brush washer. Diameter: 11 cm, H. 4,5 cm. Excellent condition. China, Song Dynasty (960-1279).

The body of the bowl is covered with a thick greenish-creamy-grey glaze whose surface appears like old polished marble. The crackles in the glaze are very attractive. Most probably Ming Dynasty, sixteenth century or earlier. Diameter : 14,6 cm. H : 7,2 cm. Condition : Perfect.

A nearly Imperial quality piece. Ming Chengua period ( 1465 - 1487 ) decorated with " Ruyi " scroll. Extremely well potted body, a wonderful very white silky glaze and exclusively painted in the for Chenghua tylical watery blue. The rim covered with solid gold with a solid golden lid. A large and heavy porcelain vase with thick Sang-de-boeuf ('Ox-blood') glaze. On the base is incised the six character reign mark of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). We have been unable to decide whether this item was made during his reign (in the late Qing dynasty) or later during the Republic period (1912-1949. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration...
