This is a 19th century, Bulbous, Spade shaped Snuff Bottle with rounded shoulders, rounded straight neck, and flat oval footing. It has a rainbow of colors ranging from dark brown, dark red, caramel, beige, and white bands over an olive green ground that turns brown towards the mouth of the bottle. It also has mineral inclusions. It is carved on both sides with bamboo shoot themes. It has a very lustrous surface. It comes with an orange coral stopper...

The cavetto is decorated with flowers and grasses amongst rocks. Tiny touches of coloured enamels have been applied to the design, a style first seen in the early 18th century. Within the foot-rim can be found a six-character imitation of a Chinese Ming Chenghua reign mark ‘Daimin Seika Nensei’...

A set of six silver bowls, the center with raised omphalos. Below an acanthus bordure decorated with a band of Arabic calligraphy. No mark, but silver tested. Condition: due to the high silver content the bowls are quite soft and some are slightly distorted. Three bowls with few dents. Dimension: diameter: 10.6 cm, 5.1 cm high, total weight: 476 g.
Unusual Japanese wood carving of a figure, appearing to be a foreign man, who wields an axe head. The figure is seated, kneeling upon a jagged throne. The patina of the carving shows remnants of old lacquer.
