We offer a beautiful deformed and heavy Japanese Bizen stoneware tsubo. It has expressive signs and spoils of the pottery making.

The brown colour with a little descent of yellow and orange are giving a smooth warm radiance to the viewer.

It is a unique Tsubo in excellent condition. No repairs, no damage.

It is from the late Edo period, 18-19th century.

Antique Mandalay Burmese style bronze gilt with silver buddha on a lotus base. The Buddha with earlobes touching shoulders extends his right arm out while the left arm holds his robe aside. The base is rounded. Obtained in Katmandu in the 1960s, made in the 19th century. It measures 6.75" toll 3" in diameter at base.

Rare and beautiful group of 120 Han Dynasty glass beads: 118 small beads, and 2 larger beads. A range of color from green to yellow and other that are calcified white with age. A tiger sits tensed on a pine tree. The fearsome advance of the beast is suggested by the powerfully hunched shoulders, the placing of its feet, which all emphasize the animal's size and strength. Painted with ink on silk. The signature reads Ganryo and sealed. Kishi Ganryo (1798-1852) was a Kyoto based painter active during late Edo period, 19th century. Antique Chinese shallow bowl with a horse jumping through waves. The horse has a green book tied to it's back with a red sash over a pink and green blanket. THe rim of the bowl is painted with clouds. The back of the bowl is painted with green and blue waves. It measures 8.25" wide. Circa 1900.

Antique Chinese porcelain plate circa 1900's (Qing Dynasty). The plate is beautifully painted with a sage holding a sprig of bamboo riding a blue celadon. The Sage and fish are accompanied by a gold winged dog. There are three seals. The plate is bordered with three registers. It measures 11.75" wide by 9" tall. The base has four bats, one on each side. The edge of the plate has old fitters from age.

This beautiful mottled gray/green color stone There is a carved with dragon which is deeply undercut so that he is suspended across the top of the stone. The ink reservoir has a matching stone cover. The ink stone is carved from a thick slab of stone, 10 inches across the back, 6+ inches back to front, and over one inch thick. It is heavy. It has been held in a private collection for about 20 years....conservatively dates from early 1800's...

A well decorated, marked and monogrammed hard paste porcelain compote. A band of peach ground with a finely detailed border of gilt decoration interspersed with green highlights and thin red lines surround the base and the top rim both on the inside and outside.
