Korean white porcelain was prized by members of the royal court during the Joseon Period. Special kilns were established by the court to exclusively produced these beautiful white porcelain vessels.

These two cups are not a matched pair and were made during the late 1800’s. The one cup has more gold in the decoration, seen when looking on the inside. The painted hunting scene has a hunter in a green jacket blowing a horn, white dog following a hunter in an orange jacket holding a rifle and a deer that is running, and a hunter riding a white horse. This cup has two areas near the top section with internal cracks. The other cup is with a silver color that is also seen on the inside...
This fine small yellow enamel box is beautifully painted with a floral medallion on a white ground, interior with orange and blue floral sprays, base is signed with a crossed pair of blue crossed pointless arrows.
Age: mid-late 1880’s.

Antique Japanese pair of bronze warrior attendant figures. Dressed in Chinese armor and holding tall poles. Their tight curls suggest the mains of fu-dogs. Made of bronze with mixed metal details. The figures stand on square, footed platforms. Intricately sculpted with great movement and expression.

Antique Japanese rectangular basket with lid. Made of tightly woven alternating wide and narrow strips of split bamboo. Round, bent bamboo handles on either end. Light color wrapped bamboo on edges.
Age: Taisho Period (1912-1926)
The rectangular carved wood with dragons and border with carved bamboo, legs with reticulated dragons and symbols, tabletop border with Shou symbols on each corner with dragons, side panels with carved dragon in high relief with an alternate border of bats and floral motif. The table folds up and the photos show it folded.
Age: Late 19th - Early 20th Century
Condition: some writing on the tabletop, and rest of table is in good condition...
Antique Japanese ikebana basket. Tall, arching handle and round form body made of split bamboo tightly woven in a horizontal chevron pattern. Portions of the handle are wrapped and held together with decorative knots. A wide mouth lends itself to many different arrangement styles.

Antique Japanese scroll painting of a tiger crouching on a rocky outcropping. The tiger, who represents the wind and the West looks up into the sky at the gathering storm clouds. Large paws grip the rocks and the tip of it's tail peeks out from under the mossy overhanging. Painted in sumi-e ink on silk. Signed by the artist. With kiri wood tomobako.
