Capped and scroll-mounted high-looping handle. Scrolled helmet mouth with applied rim. Pretty with nice heft. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, no. 2511, and volume (3 1/2 pts). Rare English Regency Tea Chest in rosewood, of sarcophagus form with a paneled lid opening to a fitted interior retaining a pair of Anglo-Irish cut glass tea caddies and sugar bowl and original felt lining under the lid, circa 1830.

Cut crystal containers were very expensive at this time, almost as expensive as silver. It is very unusual for tea chests to retain their original crystal fittings.

Unusual Late Victorian Tea Chest in the form of a Sideboard, in mahogany with cross-hatched inlaid panels and carved bandings and skirt, the shaped top opening to two lidded tea caddies and a sugarbowl.

Old Chinese soapstone carving of a Confucius or a Confucian Scholar on a fitted lotus form wooden stand. Measures 4" high including base. Base measures 3.5" long, 2" wide.

A girl's or woman's silk cap embroidered with flowers, highlighted with polychrome sequins. Edged with gold lace, linen lining and silk ribbon loop. Condition: traces of age, patina. Dimension cap closed: c. 23.2 cm high x 14.3 cm wide.

A deeply carved wooden lintel, dating to circa the mid-19th century, possibly earlier. The carving is detailed and in excellent condition. Chief among the figures is "Kamadhenu," a winged female deity with the body of a cow and the head of a human. The piece measures 30" in length (80cm) and is 9" in height (22cm).
