Finely potted shallow bowl-form dish with an everted octagonal rim, painted on the exterior in underglaze cobalt blue with a scrolling vine and flower motif. The interior is delicately painted in overglaze enamels with a scene of a male and a female pheasant among flowers and the rim is decorated with eight flower scrolls in red, green and blue enamel colors and gilding. The bowl is raised on a low footring encircled by three underglaze blue lines...

Ca. early 1900s

This vase is covered overall in brushed slip (hakeme) with three registers of incised horizontal lines from which issue simple flame-like patterns. The brushed slip decoration extends into the flaring mouth and down to the footring. The foot is completely obscured by adhering fused sand from the firing. There are a couple of unintended copper red dots from the glaze. The condition is very good, having no chips cracks or repairs.

Very rare and heavy antique Sino-Thai solid silver mesh belt with magnificent repousse dragon and flower motif on the buckle. Made by an expert and famous local (Bangkok) Chinese silversmith by the name of "Pung Heng" dating to ca. 1850. Exquisite hand made workmanship and stamped/ hallmarked on the inside of the buckle. Japanese iron tea kettle/brazier in a gourd shape. The bottom brazier has two openings, one in front and one in back, and has two large, round handles on its sides, held in the mouths of beasts or dragons. The upper portion is for boiling tea and has two slim handles on either of its sides. The hardwood lid has a very cute leaf and flower bud decoration. Comes with two iron coal pokers.
