Oribe is a visual style named after the late-16th-century tea master Furuta Oribe (1544-1615). A wonderful head of a stargazer idol in a rare hard greyish stone for this type, a female idols of Kiliya type, Anatolia, c. 3000-2500 BC.

A wonderful style large black serpentine cylinder seal, showing a mounted King hunting a Bull in full freight, a bird in the top and symbols of the Sun and Moon, Middle-assyrian, 14th - 11th century BC.

The scene is quite rare with the detailed bearded mounted king.

Condition: Very fine, extremely fine details, but with a repaired hairline crack through the middle (professionally done)...

A late period Neo-Assyrian cylinder seal in a fine blue Lapis Lazuli, dating to the 8th.-7th. century BC.

Nice core style Assyrian seal depicting the great king hunting a winged beast. His right leg raised of a Peacock bird, with the winged emblem of Ashur above and the crescent and Sun in the fields. Very thick and impressive for a seal in Lapis!

An unusual Seto Tea Bowl, shaped like a flower in the upper area, with stunning glaze and a wonderful foot ring, made around 100 years ago during the Taisho Period (1912-1926).

It is in great condition with no chips or cracks - ready to use for the tea ceremony.

Ceramics produced in Seto City are known as Setomono (Seto ware), which has become a generic word for ceramics not only in Japan but also world-wide...

This is a Japanese antique textile indigo dye cotton narumi-Shibori kimono meiji　period. This is a very rare and beautiful item created using 11 different Narumi Shibori techniques. A set of two very decorative Islamic tiles with floral motifs in fine colours, Qajar or earlier, c. 17th.-19th. cent. AD.

A large lozenge shaped bowl of thick clay covered in fawn spotted glaze by Kiyomizu Rokubei V decorated with a poem by Hashimoto Kansetsu enclosed in the original wooden box signed by both artists titled Gohon Fuseikei Hachi (Bowl of irregular shape in Gohon glaze. It is quite large, 34×26.5㎝ x 15cm (13-1/2 x 10-1/2 x 6 inches) and is in excellent condition.

A beautiful set of ten small shallow dishes, each uniquely decorated with a poem and image from the Edo period Sasashima Kiln of central Nagoya. The box, titled Sasashima Yaki Teshio Jumai (10 Sasashima Salt Dishes) is dated inside to the Tenpo era, (1830-1844). Each dish is 9 cm (3-1/2 inches) diameter and all are in excellent condition. A classic Nanban style Japanese lacquer tray decorated with mother of pearl inlay featuring four panels of birds among floral patterns separated by bands and frets dating from the 17th century later Momoyama to early Edo era. It is 43 × 28.5 x 2cm (17 x 11 x 1 inches). It has been fully restored, with repairs to the original lacquer and inlay, and the underside has been re-lacquered. Webb satin finish peachblow rose bowl, 3 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall. The bowl is cased in white with the exterior shaded from dark red at the top to a yellowish red at the bottom. The rim is crimped and edged in gold. The body of the rose bowl is decorated with gold prunus and a butterfly. There is a ground and polished pontil mark.
