A terrific abstract mid-century modern sterling bracelet by Taxco silversmith Sigi Pineda. It is hinged in the back and pulls open in the front at the horizontal lines, most ingenious! The bezel set aventurine stone is a nice touch. These are the kind of designs for which Sigi is most celebrated. The bracelet is 6 3/4" around in the inside and 1 1/8" wide at the front.It weighs 60 grams.Signed for vintage Sigi Pineda as shown. A really special bracelet from this great designer.

Impressive, having the distinct "ethnic" character that characterizes this genre of vintage Mexican jewelry, a set of articulated earrings by Rivera in emulation of Matilde Poulat's jeweled creations. A beautiful vintage signed Italian necklace with a sun form pendant which is also a detachable brooch. Circa 1960s. Marked GM in a circle, which is an Italian mark. (Please see my other piece listed with this same mark, with its original Italy hang tag.) The black beads are lightweight celluloid "sugar beads" with tiny granules covering their surface. Thai Sawankhalok 13th/15th Century Stoneware Bottle (Ex. Grahame Clarke Collection)
This finely-shaped stoneware bottle, with its pear-shaped body and wide flaring mouth, was made during the 13th - 15th Century at one of the Sawankhalok kilns. It is quite "heavily-potted" and coated in a very unusual glaze of a dark greenish-blue colour with a most attractive crackled effect. There are incised bands around the neck. The glaze has run and sagged toward the unglazed lower body...
