Scrafitto dots surround a pool of crackled glass deeply impressed into the ovoid form of this ko-tsubo by Yagi Kazuo enclosed in a wooden box signed by his son Yagi Akira. These cups were made by Moustiers France for Hermes, in their famous faience ware. This redware pottery is heavier than the Limoges porcelain in which this pattern is usually found.
