Margot van Voorhies was married to Antonio Castillo and they opened Los Castillo where Margot became well known for her designs. After a divorce she opened her own taller Margot de Taxco. This is design number 5213 the hearts. You see this design with glass or amethyst centers but this one is a rare sterling dome. The length is 15 inches and is 1 1/8th inches tall. The links are without damage and is properly hallmarked as shown. A treasure of collector quality, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE.

This elaborately worked bracelet, done by hand, was made by Maciel Silver Factory of Mexico, c.1950’s. It is marked “925/1000," "MACIEL" (maker's mark), "STERLING MADE IN MEXICO” (see pictures). This 14Kt tricolor asymmetric retro ring is topped by an approximately 0.35Ct bezel set old-mine diamond, and a field of eight angle cut natural rubies. The bezel surrounding the diamond is white gold, the section holding the four square and two triangle cut rubies is pink gold, while the rest of the ring is yellow gold. The ring is a size 10 and can easily be sized.

Features two separate molded thermoplastic pieces: The head in white and the body in aqua. The bird's comb is accented with 4 turquoise cabochon beads and the tail with two white pearls. Composed of oblong and rounded sides decorated with Middle Eastern-style motifs of embedded silver vines, leaves and stars. The cuff links are unmarked, but test definitively for silver. The bridge chains are securely fastened and composed of figure 8-like links; the wood and silver decoration exhibit no cracks or other signs of wear. The rounded sides measure just under ½ inch diameter. They are dated conservatively at around 1960.

Margot de Taxco, Margot van Voorhies Carr shows off sheer genius in this 5127 design. Rare and 1.25in. wide make you stop and take a longer look. Heavy at approximately 70 grams of repousse swirls and beads which make an abstract image of swans swimming. Anything that looks like a dent is reflection or a spot of tarnish.
