A vintage 1920’s oval shell cameo depicting a young lady with flowers in her hair and a heart shaped necklace with a 0.03Ct single cut diamond set in a 14kt white gold filigree frame. The cameo is a broach with a fold down swivel that makes it wearable as a pendant. The cameo measures 48 X 36 millimeters and the measurements of the broach are 1 ¾” wide and 2 1/16” high.

These cuff links exhibit both a sturdy look and construction. They were probably produced for the tourist trade by different silversmiths in the same workshop, as each is slightly different from the other, mostly in the fins. The backs of one linked pair indicates the maker M. Velazquez; all are marked Sterling/Made in Mexico in the pre-1950s style. A superb pair of French Art Deco 18K gold and tourmaline cufflinks in the Egyptian Revival taste that was spurred by the discovery Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922.
