Very rare and stunning vintage Georg Jensen Denmark sterling bracelet no. 181 designed by Ibe Dahlquist in the 60’s. The interlocking links are very sculptural and the clasp is invisible and ingenious. Measuring 7 1/2” end to end, it is 1” wide and weighs 58 grams. It is in fine original condition and signed as shown. This bracelet and its matching necklace are pictured on page 177 of Janet Drucker’s book GEORG JENSEN A TRADITION OF SPLENDID SILVER. An elegant 18K yellow gold bracelet in a modified curb link design, with alternating links set with round diamonds. Despite its substantial weight, the openness of the oval links creates a delicate appearance appropriate for daily casual wear. This heavily engraved silver pin is from the estate of Helen Aman, who escaped from Russia during the Bolshevik Revolution to settle in California. Decorated with inlaid discs and squares of bone, horn and wood, in the manner of tribal or ethnographic art, this compelling long chain necklace has an exotic, sophisticated feel. The discs are decorated on both sides; the squares, only on one side. Each ring of the cable chain is completely secured with solder; the chain has no clasp but can be doubled. The dating is mostly likely 1950-1960, although it could be older. Doubled, the chain measures 28 ½ inches long. It is conservatively dated.
