This charming pin is the embodiment of Victorian design. A very stylized butterfly perches on a row of 'gold' ball-shaped dangles. The butterfly is centered with a colorless brilliant, and flanked by small ruby pastes at each side. As was common at the time in the Victorian era, a matching stickpin acts as a safety feature as well as being pretty. The pin is a generous 1 1/2" and is gold filled. There is a maker's mark PC Co. A signed Thomas Kerr Ebbutt galleon sailing ship sterling silver pin or brooch fully hallmarked for Edinburgh, Scotland 1959. It has the Ebbutt maker's mark (in use from 1937-69), it weighs 7.5 grams and there is a ribbon below the Viking style ship which has never been engraved. It is also stamped SOTLAND (sic) and it has an etched identification date from a previous owner. This handmade clip exhibits a strong arts and crafts influence with a nod toward modernism. It features a hand-wrought leaf with incised veins and circular tool marks around the edges. A band of silver is applied at the top in a rough pinwheel design. A clip mechanism is attached to the back; it shows a patent number that dates to 1932. A Wedgwood blue jasper oval sterling silver pin dated 1965. This 1-13/16 x 1-1/4" pin is in the famous mat finish Jasperware porcelain and it depicts a classical scene. This sterling silver pin is formed as a Mexican peasant lugging a large basket of fruit on his back. It is deeply molded and enhanced with oxidation and of hollow construction. The sturdy clasp features a machine-age look, and the pin stem has a lever that causes it to spring open when released. The pin dates from 1950 through the 1930s and is marked Silver/Mexico on the reverse. It measures 2 inches long by 1 1/4 inches at its widest part. Weight: 12.6 grams

This whimsical silver pin, possibly formed as a French horn, features a bell made of amber. The amber is in very nice condition, without scratches or wear. There are silver marks on the pin stem that look to be Russian, but they aren’t clear enough for a definite identification. The rollover clasp is very secure, and tests for silver, as does the pin stem. The pin measures about 2 inches long, from the mouthpiece to the bell, and 1 1/8 inches wide. Gross weight: 11 grams
