A Mid Century Modernist pair of screw back earrings in two layers of sterling silver by Peggy Miller, an American studio jeweler who worked in Baltimore in the 1950's -60's. These earrings measure 3/4" across one end and 5/8"across on the other end. Measure 7/8" high. Screw backs hold securely. Signed Peggy Miller Sterling on the back of each earring. Nice contrast between the darkened background and the top layer of sterling. Great mid century design.

This fine brooch is sterling silver. It is circa 1920, I believe. Each disk is encircled by sterling then black glass with clear rhinestones, encircling more beveled, black glass (perhaps crystal). It measures 1 3/4" x 3/4". The back is marked STER inside a fish with an L in its mouth for Fishel Nessler & Co., New York, NY. It is also marked PAT'D APRIL 14'05. It is in excellent condition.

Elegant and enormous, this unsigned gold plated brooch can also be worn as a pendant. The piece is very heavy and chunky. It is probably from the 1960's and may possibly be a Kenneth J Lane piece though it is not signed. 6 1/2" long and 4" wide.

A very nice Art Deco scarab bracelet set in silver. Three glass scarabs alternate with pierced silver sunbursts set with marcasites. The sparkle of the marcasites is a nice foil for the heaviness of the scarabs. Scarab jewelry became popular after the discovery of King Tut’s tomb in the 1920s. The back is marked “Sterling”.

Interesting combination of magenta and purple, this set is of composition beads in various sizes and shapes. Knotted throughout, the two necklace strands measure 26 1/2" and 29". A vintage modernist sterling silver brooch designed by Erling Christoffersen for Norway Designs Plus. Looks like a stylized butterfly. Measures 1 1/2" across and 1 1/4" high. Has an earlier 'C' clasp. Marked with ND, 925S, Sterling and the Plus sign. Has a dark patina but could be polished up if you choose. Some minor surface scratches. Great example of Scandinavian modernist design.

This interesting beetle stick pin harkens back to the Egyptian revivals (early 1800s, and then again in the 1920s). Perfect for your lapel, the beetle is in very good condition (the pin is slightly bent, as is usual with gold stick pins), and is set in unmarked but tested 14k rose gold. The beetle itself is 9/16” x 7/16” at the widest points, and is held firmly in place by 4 prongs. The whole thing is 2-3/4” long...

Large Ottoman part belt buckle half, 19th century. Classic Paisley (teardrop) shape. Repoussé and engraved decoration of an eagle surrounded by flowers. This elegant stickpin features a stylized flower design, based on a Japanese family crest. It is marked “k20” on the back, and tests as a very strong 20kt, so it might be finer. The flower head measures 1/2 x 7/8”, and the whole pin is 2-1/2” long. It weighs 2.4g. The pin is a little bent, not surprisingly given the high gold content (please see photos), and course that can’t be seen when it’s worn, and could easily be straightened.
