Featured on page 28 of the book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by penny Morrill, this is the Hector Aguilar Fertility Bracelet with Dimpled Dots. It is in 940 silver and c.1940. One of his most well known designs, this bracelet measures 7 1/2" end to end, is 1" wide and weighs 102 grams. It has a pin closure. One of the dots in one of the domes is punched out. It is visible in the photo. I believe this is original to the making of the bracelet.Signed for Hector Aguilar as shown. A classic HA bracelet.

This elegant and unusual cameo is carved from coral into a 33 x 44 millimeter oval. It depicts a beautiful woman in profile with roses in her curls. A rare pair of sterling silver and enamel scarab cuff links by the well known Danish silversmith, Erik Magnussen. After working at Gorham and having his own shops in Chicago and New York, he opened a shop in Hollywood and designed for the stars. He returned to Denmark in 1939.

An interesting late Retro 14K yellow gold bracelet worked as a series of sextupled cable links that are slightly flattened so they splay out sideways to create a wide bracelet with a sort of optical illusion effect. A fine Retro leaf brooch worked in 14K yellow gold and platinum set with diamonds and sapphires. The curved leaf is lightened by the use of wire construction, a technique often seen in French jewelry of the period. The sterling silver cat & fish pin was designed by Hubert Harmon in the 1940's. Fish with hook measures 5" long. Cat head with cascabells is 1 1/2" X 1 1/2". The connecting chain is 10" long. Cat has amethyst eyes, fish with amethyst eye & amethyst tail detail. Pin back and locks work perfectly. Beautiful condition.
