Vintage sterling silver and copper pin or brooch designed and signed (1940's) by American and Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling(1900-67). Pin measures 3 3/8" across. Fully hallmarked with Spratling's 1940 marks. Beautiful condition with an excellent patina. No dents or dings. Pin and lock work perfectly. Matching earrings also available. Pictured in MEXICAN SILVER by Penny Morrill and Carole Berk on p.57.

Five large cabochons with pink banding are set in sterling silver frames that are deeply oxidized and embossed with a ridged design. They are linked by oblong rings that are similarly decorated. The highly polished stones are securely prong set and show no scratches or other signs of wear; they may be rhodochrosites, which were popular in the 1950s. The fold-over clasp is very secure and in good working order. The bracelet is unmarked, but tests definitively for sterling...

Composed of stylized S-shaped rods of sterling silver with beads at each end, joined by soldered connecting rings. The jump ring exhibits unidentified marks, probably European, possibly Italian. The necklace tests definitively for sterling silver. It measures 18 ¾ inches long unclasped. Weight: 11 grams

Amazing pendant / brooch by Michigan silversmith John Pagacz, circa 1950s. In sterling silver with three cultured pearls. The two darkened areas in the center are recessed, oxidized to create the patina, and hand detailed with a pattern. The workmanship in Pagacz's work is truly amazing. Unsigned. Has both a loop for a chain, and a pin mechanism so that the piece can be worn as a brooch. Measures a large 2.25" x 1.5. Excellent vintage conditon.

Our photos don't do justice to these bronze and sterling silver artisan-crafted earrings. The curved bronze crescent shapes are bisected by undulating sterling silver forms. Each earrings is completely hand crafted, with the exception of the sterling screw back mechanisms. Circa 1960s. From the posts to the bottoms, the earrings hang approximately 3". Marked "sterling" on the screw-backs.

Are you bold enough for this ring, with it's huge, sparkling grey druzy stone? The crystal measures approximately 1.5" when measured from its longest point. It is pale grey, which sparkling gold inclusions (pyrite?) layering the top. Set in sterling silver. The band is adjustable, currently size 7. Marked with an unknown hallmark, "Taxco 925."

A mother of pearl hand carved portrait cameo from the 1890s. this unset vintage late Victorian hand-carved portrait cameo is carved in natural mother-of-pearl. This 1-7/8 x 1-1/2" cameo features a right-facing young maiden; it is unsigned and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use...

A 19thC hand-carved shell cameo in a gold filled pendant/pin setting. This 1-7/8" x 1-3/8" brooch features the Eros and Psyche scenic cameo, and the pin has a flip-up loop and safety catch. The cameo dates to c1900 and the setting appears to be a bit later (c1920). This item is in excellent condition with no chips, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than an internal flaw in the shell at the top (doesn't show through the back of the cameo)...

This lovely bracelet exhibits quality workmanship. It features nine linked discs decorated with exquisite bands of turquoise enamel work embedded with metal strands, possibly silver. Each disc is ringed by intricately embossed frames of flowers and leaves. The double-hook clasp is very secure. The bracelet measures 7 inches long. It is unmarked except for the word ‘Silver’ impressed on each end disc; the silver tests definitely as sterling. Dating would be around 1950...

A raised scene of windmills and a seaport decorate this ornate sterling silver money clip. The scene is framed by scrollwork, and the entire design is enhanced by sharp detail. The clip is secure, and the metal shows no signs of stress or serious wear. The back exhibits European silver marks, as yet unidentified, and is most likely from the 1950s-1960s. The clip measures about 2 ¼ inches by 1 1/8 inches. Weight: 18.4 grams
