This Korda 'riding guard' from the Thief of Bagdad is gold plated base metal. This item was inspired by the guards on horseback who, in the film, make their way through the crowd, for the princess' arrival. This item was manufactured by the Rice-Weiner & Co, of Providence, Rhode Island. This Trifari poodle is rhodium plated base metal with rhinestones and enameling.It is circa 1936-1937. Was originally sold at Hammacher Schemmer in New York for $5.00. Designer was Alfred Philippe. It is 1 1/2" square .

Unsigned unmarked yet tested bright red, may be higher than sterling silver and could be an Arts Crafts, Art Deco or Modernist Studio Ring with 3/4" bezel set Carnelian looking cab at size 6 3/4 yet your jeweler could resize.
Top is 1 1/8 X 7/8 and is unpolished.

This copper pin is hand-constructed with architectural elements and securely set with a copper disc enameled in turquoise. It features a cone at each corner set on intersecting bands that are curled at each end. The square panel supporting all the pieces has a hammered look with slightly curved corners. The bracelet is marked McClelland Barclay on the open clasp link. The back is worn but the front is in very good condition. The plating is 14kt gold over brass and the paste stones are set in silver plated channel. The bracelet has Faux ruby sets that are of the Verneuil process of flame fusion of synthetic crystal making. These are very good faux ruby of pigeon blood red color. The depth of bracelet is almost 5/8" with width 3/4" x 7" long...
This beautiful green turquoise nuggets and shell heishi necklace from the American Southwest is 29" long. The larger nuggets are 1" long and the smallest is 5/8" long. The nuggets are in excellent condition and have aged beautifully.The Heishi beads between the nuggets are characteristically from the Southwest. They might even be olive shell.
This Alexander Korda "Thief of Bagdad" fur clip (pin clip) is 1 3/8" x 7/8". It is a fully dimensional man with a crystal marble.
Sir Alexander Korda was a Hungarian born film director and producer. He was the first film director to be knighted. This movie started the trend for collectors wanting jewelry like the pieces worn in the movie. Most of this jewelry was produced by Rice Weiner. This pin is circa 1940 the same time that the film came out.
