A very fine Retro Moderne brooch in the form of a three-leaf clover, each leaf fashioned from an heart-shaped aquamarine, and centered with a pearl. The aquamarines are simply framed in gold collet settings with halo wirework accented with beading. The stones, 1.33 carats on either side and 1.87 carats at the top, have stunning pure blue coloring without a hint of gray. The 5.5mm pearl has an ivory body color with rosé overtones, and a very nice, lustrous surface...

An Edwardian 14k yellow gold black onyx and cultured pearl ring. This size 4-1/2 ring features a bevel-set round black onyx insert with a central post-mounted 4.5 mm. cultured pearl with a nice pink-tinged luster. The high mounted setting is 5/16" across, the ring weighs 2.1 grams and it has had the pearl replaced...

This studio piece is composed of curling wire links with roughly finished ends. It is reminiscent of mid-century modern designs, but is a bit later, probably the 1970s. It is unmarked, but tests definitively as sterling silver. The necklace measures 27 1/2 inches long, including the hook closure. Weight: 22.6 grams

A 10k diamond cluster ring from around 1980 size 7-1/4. This attractive yellow gold ring features 20 single cut diamonds with modern style wavy shoulders and it is marked 10K. It weighs 2.8 grams, it measures 3/8 x 5/16" across the cluster and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs...

Unusual and elegant vintage thin sterling cuff with bone shaped segments by the Mexican silver workshop Los Ballesteros. This bracelet measures 5 1/2" around in the inside plus an additional 1 1/4" opening. It is about 1/8" wide and weighs 26 grams. It is in fine original condition and signed as shown. Looks great alone or can easily blend and be stacked with other Mexican, Native American, Scandinavian or Modernist pieces.

This dainty pin was made by Hermann & Speck, well-known jewelers of Pforzheim in Germany in the years around the turn of the last century. It is centered by a blue sapphire, and it has a pearl dangle. It is marked 333 for 8kt gold, but when we tested it, it held for 10k (this is not unusual; however we had never seen a mark for 8kt gold before! Very unusual!)...

Hand wrought, this large, detailed, sterling silver belt buckle was created c.1940's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hubert Harmon. Measuring 4 1/4" long x 2 1/4" from toe to toe the piece weighs 55 grams. 2 loops on the back measure 1 1/2" across. The smaller loop at the heel is 1 1/8". The design beautifully details the contours and shape of the bottom of a foot and it's toes. The buckle (or pendant if you like) is in excellent condition with a soft aged patina...

A very good, large 18K yellow gold Sputnik ring by H Stern. The dome is studded with a variety of bezel-set tourmalines, amethysts, citrines, aquamarines and garnets. Stern popularized the style in the 1950’s to show off the variety of gemstones mined in the company’s native Brazil. Due to its spiky appearance, the design eventually became known as “Sputnik”. The rings were made in a variety of dome sizes, and this example is exceptionally large...

Possibly the finest Georgian fob seal we’ve seen, this example is worked in multicolored 18K gold. The large swivel features a carnelian plaque on one side that reverses to an amazing crystal-enclosed compartment. Inside the compartment is a three-dimensional fruit basket worked in yellow, white, rose, green and blue gold. The rock crystal cover is slightly domed to magnify the fruit basket decoration...

These pair of 14Kt yellow gold and garnet earrings is a 1960-s revival of the Victorian style. The top part of each earring is set with a 3 millimeter round faceted garnet, while the movable bottom part is centered by a 5 millimeter round cabochon garnet. The earrings have French backs for non pierced ears. If needed it would be possible to convert the backs. The length of the earrings is 1 ¼” and the width is 7/16” at the widest part.

A classically elegant six-piece dress set worked in abalone mother-of-pearl, 14K yellow gold, platinum, and seed pearls. The cufflinks are double sided, with oval abalone plaques surrounded by engine-turned platinum borders. Each face is centered with a small seed pearl. The abalone has very fine luster with a nice play of green, rose, and a little orange flashes when caught in direct light. The four matching shirt studs have round faces. Each piece is stamped with Larter's hallmark...

Pendant composed of the inside of a conch shell that is mounted in wound sterling silver wire. The chain of twisted sterling silver bands is stamped 925 and has a secure pressure hook clasp. Each connecting ring is soldered closed. Clasped, the necklace measures 17 inches long, including the pendant.
