Beautiful very long vintage 1920s necklace with graduated cherry amber Bakelite faceted translucent beads, strung in a continuous strand with no clasp. Tests positive for Bakelite with Simichrome. Great size -- 62 inches wearable length. The largest center bead is 22mm by 13mm and the smallest beads are 8mm by 6mm. Excellent condition. Display form is life size. Photos enlarged to show detail.

A very attractive and early pair of Art Deco silver cufflink from Taxco, Mexico. The square faces are decorated with an applied and incised design faintly suggestive of a stylized butterfly. The faces are connected with simple oval connectors. Each face is marked with pre-World War II marks “Taxco Silver”. Earlier Mexican silver cufflinks with pre-war marks are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

Beautiful vintage 1960s modernist sterling silver trefoil signed pendant by Danish maker Hans Hansen, on a separately made thick sterling silver shaped collar with a hand hammered finish. The pendant is marked HANS HANSEN 925S DENMARK and the collar is marked STERLING S. The pendant is very finely made and finished. The pendant is 2 3/4 inches long and 1 7/8 inches wide. A very rare Art Nouveau Mardi Gras ball favor jewel in 14K gold depicting Greek goddess. The exposed areas of gold have a soft "bloomed" finish typical of higher quality Art Nouveau jewels that constrasts beautifully with the translucent enamels. The back is stamped "14K" and is engraved "COMUS 1908."

A Victorian shell cameo depicting Aurora/Eos, goddess of the dawn set in a 14K gold frame decorated in the Etruscan taste withe beads and rosettes. The goddess is shown with her chief attribute, a pair of feathered wings in her hair (not to be confused with Psyche who has butterfly wings). The back retains the original pinstem and folding bail, but the clasp is an old replacement. Tested and guaranteed 14K.

A delightful and very rare Victorian pin depicting a woman's "safety bicycle". With a chain drive connected to the back wheels and structural supports that left room for petticoats, these bicycles gave women unexpected freedom. Susan B. Anthony claimed that bicycling "had done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world." This pin is worked in silver gilt and set with rose cut Bohemian garnets. A Victorian Edwardian green tourmaline, red spinel and pearls gold plated pendant on chain necklace circa 1890-1900. This 7/8 x 3/4" (including bale) pendant features nine neatly arrayed segments of four stones each - 4 of green tourmalines, 5 of natural small pearls with vivid silver lustre and 5 red spinels in the centers of each pearl section. Sections are divided with gold strips and the two halves of this locket-style pendant are soldered together (it doesn't open)...
