This mid-century Margot de Taxco brooch is likely one of a kind. The Victorian era high relief Greek goddess is hand-carved and exquisitely detailed. Circa 1940-1945, here is a superb hand-wrought necklace produced by Ana María Nünez de Brilanti, whose work is known as "Victoria". Brilanti opened her shop in Taxco in 1940, and named her shop Plateria Victoria, after her daughter. Brilanti is well known for her original designs and excellent craftsmanship, and this necklace is one of her earliest works...

Stunning and rare, especially in its use of the specific stone, this vintage Mexican silver necklace features a combination pin / pendant signed by Taxco's foremost lapidary, Felipe Martinez, and a substantial chain from the same period which I believe might be by the same maestro as it bears an Eagle assay mark that Martinez used. And yes, the superbly carved "mask" is teased out of tiger's eye stone though a more unusual kind that it often referred to as "hawk's" or "falcon's eye"...

This is one of our very favorite rings. It would make a lovely engagement ring for a woman who wants something a bit different, and the green & red stones make it great for St. Patrick’s, Christmas, or really any time at all! The central diamond is approximately 20 points (1/5 of a carat, but looks bigger), and is set in platinum. The rest of the setting is made of unmarked but tested 14k gold of a lovely rich yellow. Circa 1930's to early 1940's, this is a spectacular early Mexican necklace. Hand-wrought repoussé featuring two koi fish with bubbles coming out of their mouths and large amethyst cabochons. Highly detailed with oxidized recesses, this is a gorgeous necklace. The side links are of waves. A very rare necklace. Measures a closed, wearable length of 18". Weight is 75.1 grams. Hallmarked "Mexico Silver". In excellent vintage condition.

An outstanding Venetian Etruscan Revival 18K yellow gold fob charm in the form of a crown. The bottom of the charm is set with a 9-carat oval brilliant amethyst of nice color. The sides of the charm are set with small round glass gemstones imitating small amethysts. The upper scrolls of the crown enclose a round cultured pearl. The gold surfaces are heavily decorated with rosettes and wirework. Tested and guaranteed 18K.

A particularly lovely Art Nouveau enameled 14K gold flower pin in the form of an iris. The flower is enhanced with iridescent enamels in delicate shades of green, cream and purple. A 3-point old mine cut diamond is nestled in the center of the blossom. The flower petals are deeply ruffled and finely engraved for added texture. The back retains the original clasp, stamped with the mark for Whiteside & Blank, but the pinstem has been replaced.

Circa mid-century, this bracelet is the work of Felipe Martinez / Piedra Y Plata. Martinez, who had worked with Hubert Harmon in the 1940's, opened his shop "Piedra Y Plata" in 1950. Before opening his shop Martinez had been an expert sculptor. Features six dense green stones and a superb modernist design, Martinez was known for selecting spectacular stones, and this bracelet does not disappoint. Measures a closed, wearable length of 6 3/8", with a width of 11/16"...

Circa 1930's-early 40's, this necklace is a Fred Davis design, hallmarked simply "Silver Mexico".

It's a gorgeous piece, with large amethyst cabochons and carved malachite stones. It lays perfectly on the neck, measuring a closed, wearable length of 16 1/2". Width is 1 1/16". Amethysts measure 27mm x 20mm, with a depth of 11mm.

Weight is 87.6 grams.

Seven large pendulum shaped amethysts are set in reflective curved silver panels. The matching earrings measure 2 1/8" tall.

From his third design period, this cuff features half discs which alternate with azur-malachite and silver, with a band of three striated lines across the center. Shown on the Spratling Silver website as well as in the book "Spratling Silver: A Field Guide, Spratling described this bracelet as "slip-on heavy forged azurite half discs."

A lovely antique 14K yellow gold floral wide band depicting twining branches of roses, each set with a ruby at the center of the petals. The flowers are separated by round brilliant cut diamonds. The band is finished with scalloped edges. The diamonds range from SI1 to I1 with G color. As is typical of the wartime period, the gold has generous weight and the rubies are synthetic. The interior is stamped with “14K” and with an unidentified American maker’s mark.
