A very good Victorian brooch worked in pietra-dura. The design depicts a colorful purple iris blossom with foliage and buds against a black background. The pieces of stone are very well-cut and fit tightly into the design. The back retains the original brass pinstem and c-clasp.

A handsome, classic pair of Art Deco cufflinks with octagonal green chrysoprase plaques mounted with 18K yellow gold to chrysoprase torpedo backs. The gemstones have natural color (not dyed) and excellent translucency. The faces are slightly concave and are finished with a beveled edge. The connectors are stamped with European hallmarks for 18K gold.

A very fine pair of Edwardian 14K yellow gold and platinum cufflinks, the double faces set with mother-of-pearl plaques centered with cabochon emeralds. A very handsome and heavy pair of 18K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces comprising deep violet-blue spheres of lapis lazuli joined by gold collars worked with beaded and zigzag decoration. The lapis has the fine even color often called Afghan. The faces are joined with chains to plain gold baton backs. The batons are fully stamped with 18K hallmarks for London, 1992.

A handsome dress set comprising a pair of cufflinks and three shirt studs. The 14K yellow gold faces have geometric decoration and feature bead-set round brilliant-cut diamonds. The diamonds are estimated at SI2 clarity and J-K color. Those in the studs are approximately 1/4 carat each, and those in the cufflinks are approximately 1/8 carat each. Each cufflink depicts a woodland scene with an owl in a tree, a rabbit standing on his hind legs, various flowers and plants, and a moonlight starry sky. A very nice extended set of cufflinks and shirt studs, worked in 14K yellow gold and mother of pearl by Larter. The double-sided cufflinks have concave oval mother of pearl faces centered by a simple gold disc. Both the large and small studs are made in the same manner, but are in the traditional round shape. Originally, the larger studs would have been used for the waistcoat and the smaller studs for the shirt. When wearing true “white tie”, the set can be used exactly in this way, but ...
