We believe this lovely (unmarked but tested) 10kt gold jewel is from a time when cannetille work was the vogue because gold was scarce: very fine gold wires twisted into thin strands and then formed into rosettes and other shapes. The amethyst is a delicate shade of purple, and weighs approximately 2.5 carats – it’s very deep. (Amethysts are said to bring calm, and help banish headaches.) The whole lavalier, including the bale, measures 1-1/2 x 9/16”...

Very similar to one of Antonio Pineda's designs, this modernist sterling silver and amethyst bracelet is signed by a listed yet still unidentified early Taxco maestro. Formed by a series of truncated pyramidal links this is a substantial piece that holds its shape almost like a hinged bangle rather than a loosely articulated bracelet. The design's austere geometry is mediated by the rich color and soft curves of the amethyst cabs set in generously wide, raised bezels...

A complete set, a parure, of pendant, earrings and brooch made of silver with marcasites and gold trimmings. All parts with little scenes in gold of grazing deer, the gold having been cut out and soldered onto the silver underneath. Made around 1910-20, probably in South Germany or Austria. All marcasites except those of the pendant are set with prongs. The gold content is over 10 carats and the silver which is unmarked except for the earrings (marked Sterling 925) exceeds 900/1000...
Da'maso Gallegos is known for quality in craftsmanship. The silver is thick repousse with a fit like a true pectoral that tips forward allowing more room for fitting. The length is 15.5 around the natural bottom. The stones are beautiful with a jelly like glow of purple amethyst. There is hand carving to the center silver drop and 61 grams of weight. Super rare with no damage of any kind. The drop is 2 inches tall and the cabochons fall another inch. This is one to fall in love with...

When I first saw these very old Margarita signed Vintage Mexican Silver Earrings I thought they were incredible and very special. I went back again and again to see them as the price was extremely high. After more looking I really felt these were not just rare but monumental. They are 3.5in. long and 1.5in. High. One photo shows a slice from the side and you can see there are cut out layers. I do not know how but when you put these on they are comfortable...
It has been a long time since I have offered a mosaic Mexican silver necklace. It is difficult to find one as perfect as this one. No loss of mosaic which is rare and most importantly a design that rates above the rest in beauty and execution of color. This is a swirling, breathing, dragon with Lapis touched off as the dot in the swirls and dangle drops. The rest of the inlay is a rich deep teal turquoise. The weight is 78 grams heavy with a wearable length of 17in. The drop is 3in. long includi...

Woven figure eights set off design # 5625 - A by Margot Van Voorhies. The bracelet is just under one inch and the earrings are 1 3/8th's long. The silver is thick and has 70 grams combined weight. This is a very rare design with a rich presence and a soft touch to the silver. All pieces properly hallmarked for Margot de Taxco Taller. Margot was a premier designer in the Mexican Silver Renaissance and certainly the most accomplished female artist.
Circa mid-century, this quatrefoil pendant necklace is the work of "JVL". This master silversmith produced work for Antonio Pineda. I have had this exact design cosigned with both "JVL" and the Antonio Pineda crown hallmark. This necklace is not stamped with the Antonio crown hallmark, but the quality and craftsmanship are identical to the Antonio.
The pendant is exquisitely hand-wrought, with four thick onyx half moons surrounding a complex silver design. Pendant hangs on a velvet rope/cord,...
