A handsome griffin with back-stretched wings, a lion’s head and a curling serpent’s tail grasps an old mine cut diamond in this 19th century French brooch and necklace slide. Interestingly, the creature’s tongue is licking the diamond. The eye is set with a small faceted ruby. A gorgeous enameled pansy, worked in several shades of bluish-purple is featured in this pendant converted from a Victorian pin.
