For a few years around WWII and possibly up to 1950, Marcel Boucher had a special line of silver jewelry made in Mexico under the name "Parisina". I don't think we know which workshop produced those pieces or whether they were made by a number of different silversmiths. I can, however, say that Parisina jewelry ranges from the very light-weight to the chunkier, more substantial examples and that the same variety is also reflected in their designs...

A true choker-sized necklace by the Los Castillo workshop which can, nevertheless, easily accept a simple extension (please, ask if you need one), this is a design I have always admired for its perfect combination of sterling repousse links and bi-cone (or sometimes even flattened circular) glass beads. Very well made and so easy to enjoy no matter what the occasion is, our version is adorned with amethyst-colored beads that cast a purple shadow on the already warm patina of the silver...

Circa pre-1948, this is a gorgeous bracelet from Fred Davis. It's a modernist design, with exquisite repoussé silver work.

Six turquoise cabochons are nestled within opposing silver "V"s which form diamond shaped panels, tiny silver beads between them. Alternating with these panels are large silver domes. Closure is a tight and secure tongue in box. Recesses are oxidized...

Tobias housing the portrait of a more "contemporary" man...

Spratling designed this lovely work of art in the 1940's. The sterling silver basket holds 3 hand carved chalcedony stone flowers in varying shades of color. The brooch measures 2 7/8" across X 2 1/2" high & weighs 47 grams. The pin is in beautiful condition & fully hallmarked for Spratling on the reverse. Outstanding vintage signed Los Castillo heavy sterling bracelet with a repousse foliate motif. 1940s, pre-eagle mark. Marked LOS CASTILLO TAXCO, STERLING MADE IN MEXICO, and with design number 116. Very substantial at 94 grams/3.3 ounces. With a hook closure and safety chain.

This necklace is an early design from William Spratling, and is shown on the Spratling Silver website. There are three carved sections, with the center ball dangling four cascabels. It's a magnificent piece, measuring a closed, wearable length of just over 18". Center portion hangs 2 1/2". Weight is a substantial 100.2 grams. Signed and hallmarked with the Spratling print circle "WS Spratling Made in Mexico". In excellent vintage condition...

Circa 1940-1945, this bracelet is a book piece design produced by Hector Aguilar at the Taller Borda, known as "Six Spheres". It's a spectacular piece, wide and substantial, and it drapes over the wrist with a luxurious feel. Shown in bookplate III-88, page 130, of the Penny C. Morrill book “Silver Masters of Mexico”. Measures 7 7/8” without the tongue portion of the clasp. Closed, wearable length is about 7 1/4”. Width is 1 5/8”. Clasp is a tight and secure tongue in box...

An early Mexican Deco bracelet, made in Mexico City as indicated by its hallmarks, this massive piece is as well-crafted as it is impressive. Impressive might even be an understatement, actually. One of the techniques the Los Castillo workshop pioneered, “pluma Azteca” uses dyed bird feathers as inlay to adorn jewelry and other decorative items. Quite impressive in their colorful vibrancy, the feathers can also be vulnerable, especially when they are left exposed, resulting in a rather small number of “pluma” jewelry having survived over the years. The articulated torque-type necklace at hand is a wonderful exception...

Circa 1930's to early 1940's, this is a spectacular early Mexican necklace. Hand-wrought repoussé featuring two koi fish with bubbles coming out of their mouths and large amethyst cabochons. The Chrysocolla stones in this Hector Aguilar bracelet are nothing short of fantastic. The color is vivid and varied in splatters of blue, green and some tan. This bracelet measures approximately 7 inches and the band in back slides open for easy on and off. Each link is 1 inch tall making quite a presence. The silver is thick with a weight of 81 grams. Condition of the stones are remarkable with no pits, cracks or damage of any kind...

Early vintage Mexico sterling bracelet with fabulous graphic impact. Circa 1940, made before the eagle assay mark was introduced in 1948. Marked R. RIVERA, 925 SILVER, and TAXCO in a cartouche.
